Kuch Toh Log Kahenge (Hindi: कुछ तो लोग कहेंगे) is a Hindi TV serial on Sony Entertainment Television Asia. It is a remake of the Pakistani classical TV drama Dhoop Kinare. Kuch Toh Log Kahenge is a love story between two people who have a substantial age gap.

Story

This is the bittersweet and heartwarming love story between two people who not only are from completely different generations but, aside from having a 18-year age gap between them, are completely different in terms of personality and their outlooks on life. Dr. Ashutosh, a serious, no-nonsense kind of man, has built his life around his career, and has left no room for relationships after his adoptive father passed away. He is content, if not somewhat bothered, by his loneliness. Dr. Nidhi Verma is a vivacious and bubbly young woman who looks upon life with a sense of humor. This carefree nature of hers initially irritates Ashutosh but he finally gives in to his feelings and falls in love with her, and she with him. Their quiet love blossoms, though Ashutosh is at first unsure about their relationship, due to their large age difference. In steps Rohan, a humorous and kindhearted young man who comes to stay with Nidhi's family, and Armaan, Ashutosh's childhood friend, both of whom unite the lovebirds. When Ashutosh and Nidhi find out that Nidhi's grandfather was Ashutosh's adoptive father, it serves as a trembling wall in their relationship. However, Ashutosh's love for Nidhi wins him over and the wall is broken down. Therein begins the beautiful journey of Ashutosh and Nidhi's love story but their love will face a stop as Nidhi's marriage will be arranged with Rohan and Dr Ashutosh will meet with a disastrous accident. Will their love be able to stand all the trials and storms the future threatens to bring their way?

  • Note: Due to "temporary health reasons", Mohnish Behl has exited the show, as he was unable to shoot long hours, as filming requires. Sharad Kelkar is now playing the role of Dr. Ashutosh.
