Manitoba Pool Elevators was a grain trade company founded in 1924. It became a subsidiary of the Saskatchewan Wheat Pool until November 1932, when the Pool declared bankruptcy. In 1998, MPE merged with to form Agricore Cooperative Limited. When the company merged with United Grain Growers, it changed its name to Agricore United. In 2007, it was taken over by Saskatchewan Wheat Pool, which changed its name to Viterra. [1]
