From VfD:

This page is about the species one of the characters in the tv series Red Dwarf is supposed to be. It's pretty unsearchable, and sits comfortably under the heading of fan trivia. I don't think this kind of article has a place in an encyclopaedia. (ricjl 23:44, 18 Aug 2004 (UTC))

  • Delete. Non-encyclopedic. If it's important to the series, give it a brief mention in the Red Dwarf article. DannyBoy | Talk 06:35, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. I don't see anything wrong with this sort of article in principle, but there's already an article on The Cat (Red Dwarf). Since he's the only member of the species we really know anything about, any significant info can go there. Daibhid C

  • Keep. There is information about the history of the cats that could be given. It may not encyclopedic in the normal sense of the word, but then, Wikipedia is not a normal encyclopedia. Darksun 19:59, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Redirect to the The Cat, for reasons already given. Mindspillage 23:39, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • merge with Red Dward or The Cat (Red Dwarf). This doesn't need a seperate article. (Especially since possibly may end up being a disambiguation page anyway, since there are other fictional Felis sapiens--Vik-Thor 04:57, 20 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Merge with The Cat, but keep the felis sapiens page for the other fictional felis sapiens Vik-Thor mentioned.--cuiusquemodi 04:05, 22 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Merge and redirect to The Cat. -- Cyrius| 06:17, 22 Aug 2004 (UTC)

"Also, one of the series's most infamous goof ups is that, when the picture depicting the Holy War is shown in the episode "Waiting for God", one side is wearing red hats, and the other is wearing blue (although the colour is meant to be green)."

How is this a goof? The picture shows one side wearing red hats, the others wearing blue. This sentence implies that the blue hats should be green- the whole joke of the 'holy wars' is that while they went to war over whether the hats should be blue or red, Lister's idea was that the hats were to be green. It's not that the blue hats should be green. The war WAS over red or blue hats; this is even explained earlier in the article. I'm not sure what this sentence is getting at but it's wrong. Or am I missing something with it? 84.65.90.34 (talk) 17:03, 18 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Could it be to do with human vs cat vision as well? Cats have a better sense of smell, but many apes have superior colour vision? 82.32.11.95 (talk) 09:21, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Felis Sapiens also occur in the game Beyond Good & Evil (video game) released by Ubisoft, together with other sapiens-like species. 85.166.64.51 (talk) 18:15, 7 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
