Ved Marwah
Ved Prakash Marwah (born September 15, 1932) is a former governor of Manipur,[1] Mizoram and Jharkhand.
He was born in Peshawar, British India. A former member of the Indian Police Service, Marwah has held assignments in different states in India during his 36-year career, including Commissioner of Police, Delhi; Director General of the National Security Guard; and Adviser to the Governors in Jammu & Kashmir and Bihar.[citation needed]
Marwah served as governor of Manipur from 1999 to 2003, governor of Mizoram from 2000 to 2001, and governor of Jharkhand from 2003 to 2004.[citation needed]
He wrote the book Uncivil Wars: Pathology of Terrorism in India. Marwah is on the governing council of the Asian Academy Of Film And Television.[citation needed]
