Lyndon Rive

Lyndon Rive is a green energy leader who is the co-founder and CEO of SolarCity. Rive has trumpeted SolarCity's use of First Solar panels for residential and business installations since the beginning of 2009.[1] Rive has also said that residential and small business customers will turn to branded installation companies, like SolarCity, as the market grows.[2] Prior to co-founding SolarCity, Lyndon Rive helped to create and then sell Everdream to Dell. Rive started his first company at the age of 17 before leaving his native South Africa.[3] In his spare time, Rive plays Underwater Hockey. Rive is the cousin of SolarCity investor and serial entrepreneur Elon Musk.

In 2010, Rive was named to the MIT Technology Review TR35 as one of the top 35 innovators in the world under the age of 35.[4]
