Slammiversary (2012) is an upcoming professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) promotion, which will take place on June 10, 2012 at the College Park Center in Arlington, Texas on the University of Texas at Arlington campus.[2] It will be the eighth under the Slammiversary chronology and sixth event in the 2012 TNA PPV schedule.

The show will commemorate TNA's 10 year anniversary, and will also feature the revelation of the first inductee into the brand new TNA Hall of Fame.

Storylines

Slammiversary will feature professional wrestling matches that involve different wrestlers from pre-existing scripted feuds and storylines. Wrestlers portray villains, heroes, or less distinguishable characters in the scripted events that build tension and that culminate in a wrestling match or series of matches.

The predominant feud on the card is between Bobby Roode and Sting for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Back in March at Victory Road, Sting was defeated and injured by Roode in their match. Following that match, Sting gave up his position as the General Manager of TNA to Hulk Hogan to focus on his recovery so he could get revenge on Bobby Roode. Sting returned to the ring during the May 31 edition of Impact and defeated Roode in a Lumberjack Match. Immediately following his non-title victory over the champion, Hogan announced that Roode will face Sting for TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Slammiversary.

The second main match headind into the event is between Rob Van Dam, Jeff Hardy and Mr. Anderson over contention to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. On June 7 edition of Impact Hulk Hogan announced that there will be a TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match during the June 14 edition of Impact. Hogan puts Van Dam, Hardy and Anderson in this Three Way match and ruled that the winner of this match will face the whoever walks out of Slammiversary as the champion.

It has been confirmed that current WWE Intercontinental Champion Christian will be making an appearance at the event, despite being under contract with WWE.
