mSATA remove personal approach

The mSATA section contains content that has been written from a personal perspective. While I don't think it's necessarily biased, this doesn't fit the right style. Peter Law (talk) 17:34, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why not just change it? The 'What made it clear to me...'-part can be easily changed. Mpvdm (talk) 05:58, 4 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Greek

The article may as well be written in Greek. A reader has to know what an ATA is before he can understand the article. Abenr (talk) 18:10, 25 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I believe you mean it is written in Geek. Fortunately I am fluent in Geek, yet am able to speak (and write) in ordinary American. It appears the consensus is the article is confusing. I concur. The section is not only written in jargon but, even in jargonese, the grammar is terrible. I will copy the section, do some independent research, and fix it so it can be understood by those without a technical background.
As for Abenr's statement that one must first understand ATA, I also agree. However, it is the individual's responsibility to have sufficient background, which can be obtained right here on Wikipedia. I will rewrite the section so it is readable, but I intend to limit the scope to "mSATA" only.
Don't expect the job to be done in just a few days. I have numerous commitments so this will be a spare-time job. If some one else grabs it and publishes first, go for it. However, I'll try to make the wait reasonable, considering the rate of change in the computer field.

Compatibility

This articles says nothing about Sata 2 and Sata 3 compatibility. Can a user connect a Sata 3 drive into a Sata 2 socket? Nomad (talk) 17:28, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

BUG in table (class="wikitable sortable")

There is a bug or an inconsistency (, vs .) in the table "Comparison with other buses". When you sort by Tranfer speed it doesn't make any sense how the rows are arranged.
