Patryk Małecki (Polish pronunciation: [ˈpatrɨk maˈwɛt͡skʲi]; born 1 August 1988 in Suwałki) is a Polish footballer who plays as a winger for Eskişehirspor, on loan from Wisła Kraków.

Club career

He made his Wisła Kraków and Ekstraklasa debut on 10 September 2006 in a 0–0 draw with Pogoń Szczecin. He scored his first goal against Górnik Zabrze in the 82nd minute to make the final score 4–0 for Wisla.

He looked in good form and was expected to play alongside Paweł Brożek in the attack for Wisła Kraków. However, an injury sidelined him for the rest of the season. During the 2008–09 season, he became a regular in Wisła's starting eleven playing on the right wing, replacing Wojciech Łobodziński.

Turkish Giants Fenerbahce wanted to sign him in the summer of 2011. But he rejected the offer. He said " Fenerbahce would be a good opportunity in normal conditions. But there's a match-fixing scandal there and Fenerbahce is the biggest actor of it. I dont want to play for a team need to fix things to win. I am an honourable player and i want to play for a club like me.". Thus he loaned out.

He was chosen revelation of the year 2009 and most promising player for Euro 2012 by Ekstraklasa players.[1] Also in Piłka nożna magazine plebiscite he was chosen Polish revelation of the year 2009.[2]

International career

He has represented Poland at youth international level, including at the 2007 U-20 FIFA World Cup in Canada, where he started in all 4 games for Poland.
