Pronunciation and sources
[edit]Asking a local librarian to pronounce the name of a place will probably get the correct pronunciation. The issue with adding that to the article is that it does not meet the standard as a reliable and (most importantly) verifiable source, in compliance with Wikipedia policy. There are many places in New Jersey with names that don't have an obvious pronunciation or are pronounced differently from what a non-local may guess. I have already added an appropriate source for Absecon, New Jersey, and had recently added sources for Buena, New Jersey and Buena Vista Township, New Jersey, where the first word is pronounced BYOO-na (not BWAY-na). For all of the other edits (Mahwah, Weehawken and Bayonne), sources are required, just as they are for all other edits made in Wikipedia. Alansohn (talk) 18:22, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
Sources for telephone exchanges
[edit]Is there a source that you're using to get the telephone exchanges for communities that you've been editing. In addition to using it as a reference for this information within the articles, it would also be a useful guide. Alansohn (talk) 17:42, 19 July 2011 (UTC)

re Rosemary Rice and Upper Montclair
[edit]Your recent edit to the article for Upper Montclair, New Jersey states that you "can provide article from Newark Evening News about her performance on Broadway in "Dear Ruth" during her teen years which references living in town." While additional cleanup is needed to add references for the other individuals, Rosemary Rice has no article and no sources establishing a connection to Upper Montclair. Please add a link to the source as a reference in this article as soon as possible. In the future, all content added to articles must be accompanied by the appropriate reliable and verifiable sources, as it is not enough to state in an edit summary that the sources can be provided. Alan, there is no online link for story at former Newark Evening News. Please advise where I can email the November 5, 1946 article. Thanks:) I'm DougDouglass@msn.com On Agust 21, 2012 I added death year.
