Population detail worth including?

In the first season of Murder She Wrote, the "Welcome to Cabot Cove" sign that appears in several of the episodes mentions the population as 3,560. Is this worth including in the article?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Srcastic (talkcontribs) 04:34, 23 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

With the number of murders that occur in Cabot cove they should have replaced the sign with a blackboard. 217.7.209.108 08:31, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Should it be noted that if Cabot Cove was a real city in Maine the homicde rate would be well over 1000% of what it currently is? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.149.233.66 (talk) 22:14, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Location

I only saw this series irregularly, but the sheriff mentioned someone driving north out of town on STATE Route 27, which would place Cabot Cove in Boothbay and/or Boothbay Harbor, which in turn would give an approximately correct driving time to Portland. I should have been more explicit: two characters mentioned that the driving time to Portland was about an hour, which is reasonable, depending on one's driving habits and whether one counts from the town green or from the intersection of Maine Route 27 and U.S. 1.
