Status of the Trophy

Prior to the 2006 season, I remember hearing the Black Diamond Trophy has actually been returned to Rish Equipment Company (the sponsor of the trophy). It was returned because the WVU/VT football series is essentially defunct. Unfortunately, I can't find any reference to that anywhere. We don't have it anymore, I can't give you documentation that they demanded it back, but even after we offered to pay for it's value the company (a West Virginia company) they wanted it back. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.4.189.112 (talk) 15:27, 9 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
