If you think Tunegenie is notable then write an article about it, don't just create links to it on other articles. . . Mean as custard (talk) 08:59, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing, because this account has been used only for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to Wikipedia policy. I do have some sympathy with you, as you probably, like many people, came here sincerely thinking that "anyone can edit Wikipedia" means "anyone can add anything the like to Wikipedia", no doubt thinking that promoting "TuneGenie" was a legitimate use of Wikipedia. However, you have had it made perfectly clear to you by numerous editors that this is not so, and, instead of accepting the information given, you have edit warred to continue to add promotional links and other promotional content, both to articles and to talk pages. Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, not a free advertising service. In addition, making attacks on other editors (e.g. calling people you disagree with "Jackboot thug") is unacceptable. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Request reason:

my naive attempt to edit wikipedea articles led to my beeing blocked ... see Post By JamesBWatson: "I do have some sympathy with you, as you probably, like many people, came here sincerely thinking that "anyone can edit Wikipedia" means "anyone can add anything the like to Wikipedia", no doubt thinking that promoting "TuneGenie" was a legitimate use of Wikipedia." I was not trying to promote "TuneGenie", What I was trying to do was add the fact that radio stations use "TuneGenie", thinking that would add to the wikipedia articles concerned (by indicating what stations use "TuneGenie") thus making a positve contribution to the articles, then when I tryed to discuss this on the individual article talk pages, again in a naive thought that I could contribute something to the articles by discussing the proposed changes.

Decline reason:

And why did you continue, despite numerous warnings that your edits are inappropriate? Max Semenik (talk) 13:12, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
