Pickbothmanlol / Iceman sockpuppetry investigation

Resolved

Can you please take a look at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Pickbothmanlol? I've mentioned you in that investigation since you blocked Kevin Morrison on the ActiveWiki. I believe that the suspected sockpuppet User:Fluttershy created an article entitled ""Kevin_Morrison_(cyberterrorist)". Your previous experience with Pickbothmanlol / Iceman would be helpful in the investigation. --Michaeldsuarez (talk) 20:54, 27 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

iOS 6

Resolved

Why did you consider the iOS 6 page for deletion? Dplcrnj (talk) 20:07, 20 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You being notified was a mistake. The deletion was aimed at it being turned into a separate article, the first iOS version article not to be redirected to iOS version history. Please see the current discussion for a better explanation. --GSK (talkevidence) 20:11, 20 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

To answer your edit summary, no, I didn't intend to remove a reference. I was apparently looking at an old revision of the page and noticed Walmart was used as that reference. I then proceeded to edit the new version of the page without paying attention to what I was removing, and inadvertently removed a good reference. After seeing your edit summary, I had a WTF moment, and had to try figure out just how I had done that. Thanks for catching my goof.--Asher196 (talk) 03:31, 25 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Scary Movie 5

Resolved

Forgive my ignorance about Wikipedia etiquette... but, what's going on? Last night, I tried to correct several mistakes about the actors cast and their character names. Now, I'm getting weird "warnings" that are associated with your user name.

My name is J.P. Manoux. I am #7 on the call sheet for this movie. We are in the middle of production RIGHT NOW here in Atlanta. Much of the information previously associated with the cast of SCARY MOVIE 5 was incorrect.

Not that I care all that much.

Thanks.

On Wikipedia, we require sources for all content added to the encyclopedia. Anyone can come on here and claim what you have, so we need to be able to verify everything that's added. If you really are JP Manoux, it's great to see you here, but we still need verifiable sources for added content. --GSKtalkevidence 17:42, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How do I provide "EVIDENCE" that I am who I say I am? And what's to stop "real" people from posting nonsense? And who are you? An employee of Wikipedia? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jpmanoux (talkcontribs) 18:11, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Verifiable sources means the information should be published via a reliable medium, such as an online newspaper (like HuffPost, for example). There are millions of editors on Wikipedia who work every day to prevent nonsense and vandalism from being posted in articles. I'm one of these editors. If you take a look at my contribution history (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/GSK), you can see I rollback vandalism on an almost daily basis on numerous articles. Most of the editors on Wikipedia are not employed by Wikipedia, but are regular people like you and me. If you're curious about the verifiability policy on Wikipedia, I suggest reading over these two articles: WP:V and WP:RS. I'm going to open a discussion on the Administrator's Noticeboard to get a second opinion. --GSKtalkevidence 18:35, 27 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Chris Carter (screenwriter)

Resolved

Hi. You've removed a link I added to the Chris Carter (screenwriter) article. The link was to an interview with Chris Carter at the Archive of American Television website. I have no affiliations to either. Can you explain why the link was removed? Thanks. 203.86.206.206 (talk) 22:29, 29 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

After reviewing Wikipedia policies for external links, I have reverted my edit and restored the link to the article. --GSKtalkevidence 01:48, 30 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

GTA San Andreas

Hello. Thank you for your concern in helping me editing pages! Actually, I read a lot of stuff about video games. I had found a while ago a website reamrking that the game had actually sold 27.5 million copies, so, I just changed the number to 30 million in order to make it easier to read. Also, as it was quoted in the original GTA San Andreas page on Wikipedia, it says In 2011, Kotaku reported that according to Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has sold 27.5 million copies worldwide.. Concerning the PS2 sales that are 17.3 million, the other 10 million being the PC sales, adding other console sales (PSP, XBOX), it gets even higher than 30 million copies. Please, reconsider it!

Thanks in advance, Jimmy — Preceding unsigned comment added by JimmyzzzX (talkcontribs) 15:52, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

We still need reliable sources for anything you add to the encyclopedia. --GSKtalkevidence 15:54, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That's all you have to say?! -_- — Preceding unsigned comment added by JimmyzzzX (talkcontribs) 09:03, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. It's Wikipedia policy to include reliable sources. I suggest you familiarize yourself with Wikipedia policy. You can start here. --GSKtalkevidence 09:14, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
