Yes, we should focus on the current and most common definition of the "Ryukyu Islands" in the English language, or 琉球群岛 in the Chinese language, other than arguing a Treaty signed several decades ago. 水樹美月 (talk) 11:23, 8 October 2012 (UTC) |
Re: Masanori Asami
Thanks for your notice again. However, according to Policies and guidelines in Chinese Wikipedia, yet it should not be blocked immediately unless he keep to modify the article, zh:琉球群岛, without any consensus. As for zh:琉球弧, we do not have any discussion in Chinese Wikipedia. Hence, I am not sure if has any problem in this article.--alberth2 08:04, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
Suggestion
Ryu, I want to suggest something if you don't mind, it is related to that whole Rival Destinies/Best Wishes season 2 continuity thing. I think that the respective articles, season 15 and 16, should be merged since season 15 has still not ended yet. However, a note should be added below the summary of BW085 (All for the Love of Meloetta!) which should say something like:
- "Note: This is the first episode of Pocket Monsters: Best Wishes! Season 2 in Japan."
The rest of the episodes can stay in the season 15 article till we have an official word on the 16th season. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 06:47, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
- It's best if the content isn't moved from one page to the other. We can simply keep everything on the "Best Wishes Season 2" page for now and say "(part of) Best Wishes Season 2 was incorporated into the international Rival Destinies broadcast". We have to acknowledge that the show is Japanese, after all, and we don't need to keep renaming the pages every time the US broadcast gets a new opening sequence. And for all we know they're going to rename it anyway. Everything can wait for when it actually happens.—Ryulong (琉竜) 08:33, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
Rival Destinies/Best-Wishes Season 2
I moved the "All for the love of Meloetta" episode to Rival Destinies but I suggest we move them individually as each episode is released.—cyberpower OfflineTrick or Treat 09:50, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
- They shouldn't be moved at all. The show is Japanese after all, and just because the English title hasn't changed doesn't mean we should ignore the actual division in the original nation.—Ryulong (琉竜) 10:51, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
- A note should be made though for clarity purposes.—cyberpower OfflineTrick or Treat 11:46, 29 October 2012 (UTC)

Tokusatsu Etymology?
Hi there. I'm mostly a retired lurker, and I recently got hooked on Tokusatsu. While I don't feel I have the knowledge or time to contribute to the project, I did have a suggestion/question. Why isn't there a breakdown or an explanation of the etymology of the show titles? For instance, Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters's article states it's a super sentai, with the appropriate link, but there's no reference to the origin of Tokumei. Likewise, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger doesn't shed any light on the significance of "Kaizoku".
It might be a silly question, but I think if there's any significant reason for the naming convention it could make for an interesting addition to the articles. Hazardous Matt (talk) 19:17, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
- "Kaizoku" is Japanese for "Pirates" (linked somewhere in the opening section). "Tokumei" is Japanese for "Special Mission" (mentioned somewhere on their article). There's nothing more to be said than that. Also translation of show titles can get tedious with no official translation for various made up words like "Bakuryu" or "Ninpuu".—Ryulong (琉竜) 10:15, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
- I must have missed it, then. Just a suggestion. Thanks for the info. Incidentally, you seem to be doing great work on that project. Hazardous Matt (talk) 12:32, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
- Well, it seems the translation of "kaizoku" as "pirate" was removed from the page at some point.—Ryulong (琉竜) 14:05, 1 November 2012 (UTC)

TAR start/finish line locations
Since you've removed the start/finish line locations in the original U.S. version, I had removed that locations in foreign editions and they're unnecessary on reading into the season/series' articles. I have to offline by almost two hours on to leave for All Saints' Day. ApprenticeFan work 20:11, 31 October 2012 (UTC)

Blogs
If I were to go to a blog and found new info on...lets say a con where Megaforce had a new promo, and they cited their info from someone who was at said con, even though that is a primary source, would that be good to cite? Gaeaman787 (talk) 07:03, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
- No.—Ryulong (琉竜) 10:16, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
