Boy Kill Boy are a British indie-rock band formed by Pete Carr, Kev Chase, Shaz Mahmood and Chris Peck. Based in Leytonstone, East London, the band released the singles "Suzie" and "Civil Sin" in 2005, and opened the Radio 1 stage on Sunday/Friday of the 2005 Reading and Leeds Festivals.
They have recently by signed by Vertigo Records and got their first major release with "Back Again" on February 13th 2006, which charted at #26 in the Official UK Singles Chart. They have just embarked on their first headlining UK tour, after supporting Hard-Fi. They are to headline some of the 2006 NME New Music Tour, on which they will be supported by The Automatic, ¡Forward, Russia!, and The Long Blondes.
Most recently, their single "Suzie" has appeared on FIFA Street 2.
They received their first top 30 hit with Back Again which charted at number 26. Their first album, Civilian, will be released on May 22, May 2006, preceded by a re-issue of "Suzie". There are plans to re-issue "Civil Sin" in the near future too.
The band name was dervied by the lead singer mishearing a band called "Boy Called Roy". The band stated on popworld that they liked the name Boy Kill Boy because it looks as if one was blowing a kiss if the name was spoken silently.
