The following information is absolutely false: "But it is a member of the CAF so it can take a part in the Africa Cup of Nations".
I'm not even sure that Zanzibar is actually a member of CAF, I'm currently doing some research about this, but if it was, or actually is, it would only be an associate member, just like Réunion island, and not a full member, and only full members can participate to the Africa Cup of Nations. Zanzibar is for a fact a full member of one of the 5 sub-federations of Africa, the CECAFA, and can participate to the local competition, the CECAFA Championship, but has never and for the moment will never be able, like Réunion, to play the Africa Cup of Nations qualification.
You may check again, if you want, but I'm 99.9% certain of this... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 113.165.157.87 (talk) 08:31, 1 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Confederation of African Football article has them as Associate Member. Your sources are BBC and worldsoccer. I checked www.cafonline.com, I can say Zanzibar is not there at all. Not on "Associations" menu on top, also not in "Zones" list which link can be found at least from bottom of the page. But Reunion surely is there. 82.141.67.203 (talk) 04:02, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
