Danys Báez Gonzalez (born September 10, 1977 in Pinar del Río, Cuba) is a relief pitcher in Major League Baseball currently playing for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Baez has previously played for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays from 2004-2005, and for the Cleveland Indians (2001-2003). He bats and throws right-handed. Báez defected from the Cuban national team at the 1999 Pan American Games in Canada.

Báez's normal trade is as a closer. With the Dodgers however, he is supposed to be a setup man for Eric Gagne. In Gagné's absence, he serves as closer.

From 2001-04, Báez posted a 21-27 record with 61 saves and a 3.86 ERA in 217 games.
