Mary Zophres (born March 23, 1964,as Maria Zafeiropoulou in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida) is an American costume designer. She was recently nominated for an Academy Award for her costume work on True Grit.[1] This nomination at the 2010 Oscars marked her first. Zophres previously worked on Born on the Fourth of July.[2] She has also worked on the films O Brother, Where Art Thou?; Catch Me If You Can; and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

She often works with the Coen brothers.

Personal life

On March 9, 2006, Zophres married Comedy Central producer/writer Murray Valeriano.
