Hitler Painting

Is is not proper to spell his name Von Stuck. His name is von Stuck.

Using a capital V for von only exposes great social ignorance especially in terms of proper etiquette. Causepowered (talk) 13:20, 30 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I added the section on the Hitler painting .. Not quite sure how you describe it (a "myth"? a "legend"?), but its a well-known curiosity so needs inclusion .. In no way it this attempting to portray Von Stuck as a Nazi Matt611 09:53, 7 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

this is an awful page. Half of it is ramblings about the Nazis...AWFUL

I just gave the page a big overhaul, my first Wikipedia edit so hope it's OK. The previous version of this page had a first half lifted almost completely from the 1911 Britannica with the other half being stuff involving Hitler, much of which seemed too speculative to belong, I thought. I removed Expressionism from his description as I don't think he belongs in that group, and nor do my primary references. Cbj77 18:18, 24 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stuck and the Third Reich?

Does this book exist?

  • White, Mark. "Stuck and the Third Reich". London: Faber and Faber. 2001. ISBN 0-5712-7789-6.

This ISBN number does not work. This book is not listed by amazon, or by AbeBooks, or in works by Mark White in Faber catalogue. I've removed it from Bibliography until its existence can be confirmed. Mick gold (talk) 16:20, 6 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
