Cullen Investments is a private international investment company, based in Auckland, New Zealand with additional office in London, United Kingdom[1]. The company was founded in 1995, by executive chairman Eric Watson but has its origins in a start-up founded in 1988 by Watson [2]. Company is currently pursuing the development of its international portfolio, which includes interests in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.

Company’s investment covers various market sectors such as fashion retail, financial services, agriculture, real estate, and sports & entertainment.[3][4]

Cullen owns 80% stake in a global lingerie company Bendon[5] that has operations in United States, United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand and also in the Gulf States through franchised stores.[6][7] The brand includes labels of Elle Macpherson Intimates and Stella McCartney[8].

Cullen Agricultural Technologies Inc.[9],founded in August 2009, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cullen Agricultural Holding Corporation[10], Cullen Agri Tech is headquartered in Georgia, United States. This subsidiary offers a range of farm management and technology services to improve the productivity and profitability of food animal production [11].

Cullen Investment has a widespread portfolio of commercial and residential properties in New Zealand, United States and United Kingdom. Premier properties in New Zealand include Westbury Estate[12], while offshore investments include an upmarket property portfolio in London. Westbury Estate is a private retreat center located in the south of Auckland, New Zealand. The estate is spread over an area of 92 acres[13]. Cullen's investment portfolio also comprises of a number of privately traded portfolios in Foreign Exchange, Equities and Commodities.[14]

Cullen, via EJ Group Limited, owns 50% of the shares in a sports venture which acquired the New Zealand Warriors Rugby League Club in 2000. [15]Competing in the Australasian National Rugby League (NRL), the Vodafone Warriors is New Zealand's largest privately owned sporting franchise.[16]

Cullen’s portfolio also includes the investment in Watson Bloodstock[17] located in New Zealand and Australia. It was previously run under the banner of Westbury Stud[18]. Watson Bloodstock's elite broodmare band includes mares Zirna and Grand Archway[19]. Watson Bloodstock also holds substantial shareholdings in the stallions Captain Rio and Faltaat. Over the years, Watson Bloodstock has been successful in the yearling sales ring which can be credited to the extensive research of yearling market trends to map stallions standing within Australsia.

Cullen also holds a 50% stake in Soul Bar and Bistro that specializes in fresh New Zealand cuisine with an emphasis on seafood.[20]

The Watson Foundation, a charitable trust structured by Cullen Investments[21], assists underprivileged children and young people. The foundation generally sponsors smaller charities that face difficult times in raising funds, such as The First Tee of New Zealand[22], Summer-fields Charitable Trust's 'A Gift' Program.
