360buy Jingdong Mall (www.360buy.com) is a Chinese electronic commerce company with headquarters in Beijing, China. It is the largest B2C online retailer in China. Its English website en.360buy.com, for worldwide shipping, became available on October 18, 2012.

Qiangdong Liu founded the company in July 1998, and the company’s B2C platform went online as jdlaser.com in 2004. jdlaser.com started as an online magneto-optical store, but soon diversified, selling electronics, mobile, computers. Jingdong Mall changed the domain name to www.360buy.com in June, 2007, and it has been offering more than one million product selections and thousands of brands across 12 categories including electronics and computers, home appliances and houseware, apparel, mother and childcare products, books, grocery and gourmet food as well as flight tickets.

en.360buy.com provides about 400,000 new products, including cell phones, home appliances, apparel, wedding events, electronics and more. It ships to 35 countries countries and regions such as America, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, and Southeast Asia.

  • 1998,6 The company was founded as Jingdong Century Trading Co., Ltd selling magneto-optical in Beijing, China.
  • 2004,1 The company’s B2C site went online as jdlaser.com
  • 2006,1 Jingdong Shanghai capitalization subsidiary company and started to develop Shanghai market.
  • 2007,1 Jingdong Guangzhou capitalization subsidiary company established and with its all power to develop the south China market.
  • 2007,6 Jingdong started using the new domain name www.360buy.com, and the company name changed to Jingdong Mall(Chinese simplified:京东商城)officially.
  • 2010,12 360buy.com started online bookstore. CDs, DVDs and ebooks are added in the next few months.
  • 2011,4 360buy.com launched platform named “POP”for brand owner.
  • 2012,10 en.360buy.com was launched for future worldwide shopping.
  • 2013,3 The company's domain name changes to www.jd.com.
