This Is England '90 is an upcoming British TV drama series written by Shane Meadows and Jack Thorne. A spin-off from the 2006 film This Is England, it is also a sequel to the series This Is England '86 and This Is England '88. This Is England '90, was originally due in late 2012, but in July 2012, director Shane Meadows announced that the production had been put on hold in order for him to complete his documentary about reunited Manchester rock band The Stone Roses,[1] and the actors were still waiting for confirmation as to when filming would start.[2]

Although the music in the 90s series has not been announced, it has been speculated that Meadows will use tracks by Ludovico Einaudi and The Stone Roses.

Meadows confirmed that this will likely be the final series of the saga. [3]

Plot

This Is England '90 will look at rave culture and the 1990 FIFA World Cup.[4] According to Meadows, it will follow Shaun, Kelly, Trev and Gadget who are involved in the Stone Roses and Rave scene. Woody and Milky have opened a scooter shop, while Combo is released from prison after serving his sentence for the manslaughter of Mick in This is England '86. [5]
