Sheikh Mohammed Abdulla Al Thani (Moe Al Thani) (Arabic) الشيخ محمد بن عبدالله آل ثاني (born 16 June 1982), a member of Al-Thani royal family of Qatar, raised in Sharjah, UAE, (the country of his grandmother), an alumnus of the American University of Sharjah[1] is one of the young leaders in Sharjah and a businessman, with positive footprints in many business fields especially travel and tourism.

Besides that, he also serves as a passionate mountaineer, with a dedicated mission of pushing his limits to reach “The seven highest summits of the seven continents of the world”. He is climbing as the Brand Ambassador for Reach Out to Asia (ROTA), a private non-profit organization, based in Doha, Qatar with a noble mission to raise awareness that education is a right for everyone.


Early life

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani, (Moe Al Thani) was born in Sharjah, UAE, the son and eldest child of Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Thani (Sharjah) (Arabic) الشيخ عبدالله بن محمد آل ثاني. He completed his BA in Business Administration in 2004 and MBA in 2006 from the American University of Sharjah,

During his years of study at AUS, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani (Moe Al Thani) was President of numerous clubs. In addition to being a distinguished member of the School of Business and Management (SBM) Student Council, he was elected President of the AUS Student Council in 2002.

Upon his graduation, he went on to serve as a prominent member at large of the AUS Alumni Association (AUSAA) Council and was acclaimed the representative of the Northern Emirates Chapter.


Businesses

Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani (Moe Al Thani) founded in August 2007 Musafir.com, a premium-experience travel website that offers flights to over 3,000 destinations on all leading airlines, rooms in over 23,000 hotels around the world and tailored holiday packages online, in addition to specialized travel services for companies under its Musafir.com[2] Plus brand. In 2011, he became a board member of the Board of Directors of Air Arabia[3]. He is also the Chairman of Gamma Aviation[4], AM Holding Company, Santos International Company, Ascent Advertising Company and Universal Tourism Company and he is the Deputy Chairman of Sharjah Golf and Shooting Club ; founder of Sharjah paintball park and its sister companies Grab n’ Go, Al Nawras Hospitality and Tamween catering.

In January 2012, he was entrusted with the position of Director General of the Sharjah Statistics Centre[5].

Philanthropist Sportsman

Beside his extensive business profile, he is a successful Philanthropist sportsman entrepreneur, adventurous traveler a passionate mountaineer, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Thani (Moe Al Thani's) dedicated mission is to push his limits to reach "The seven highest summits of the seven continents of the world". He is climbing as the Brand Ambassador for Reach Out to Asia[6] (ROTA), a private non-profit organization, based in Doha, Qatar with a noble mission to raise awareness that education is a right for everyone. On September 2011, he summited Mont Blanc at 4,810 m. He also climbed twice the summits of Mount Kilimanjaro at 5,895 m on March 2010 and on November 2011, respectively. On December 2012, he reached the top of Mount Vinson, the highest peak of Antarctica, at an altitude of 4,892m, on August 28th 2012, he reached Mount Elbrus the highest point in Europe at 5,642, on October 2012 he summited Mount Kosciuszko, Australia at 2,228 m and on 5th January 2013 he reached the fifth summit of Mount Aconcagua (South America), the highest peak in the Western hemisphere at an altitude of 6,960 m and on 22nd May 2013, he became the first Qatari to reach the summit of the highest mountain in ther world, Mount Everest in Nepal, at an altitude of 8,850m.
