Pon Radhakrishnan(Tamil: பொன்.ராதாகிருஷ்ணன்), a widely respect leader across Tamilnadu, has been associated with Hindu Munnani since the 1990s. He is a former union minister of state of India. He was minister of state for Youth affairs in Third Vajpayee Ministry. Later he served as Minister of State in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation. When he was the road and transport minister, the magnificent project Golden Quadrilateral was implemented. He was elected to Lok Sabha from Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu.

Fondly called Pon Rji by the BJP party cadres, Pon Radhakrishnan hails from a wealthy and eminent Nadar family from Alathankarai, Nagercoil. He is unmarried and currently he is the President of Tamil Nadu State Bharathya Janata Party.

In a close fight, Radhakrishnan lost the 2009 Lok sabha elections from Kanyakumari but he was later made the President of the Tamil Nadu unit of the BJP. In 2011 Tamil Nadu assembly election he contested from Nagercoil constituency however he lost, having secured the second position. He plays a vital role in developing the Hindu community across Tamil Nadu and initiated many activities to eradicate the caste system and untouchability in Hindu society. He was played a key role to sanction Kanyakumari Government Medical College Hospital, Asaripallam, Nagercoil. During his only tenure as Member of Parliament, he did lot of activities to develop the sports activities in Kanyakumari District.
