New software (released last month) with no sign of WP:NOTABILITY yet. Only 85 ghits, most generated by the creators, or databases of software. Only one gnews hit, a passing mention. Nat Gertler (talk) 22:46, 8 October 2013 (UTC)
- Delete. As nom said, there's virtually nothing out there about the topic. The current article references only the company, plus what appears to be a company video on Youtube.--Larry (talk) 01:24, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
- Keep - Excuse me guys, Hello, The page Chitwanix_OS is an article of an Open Source Software as we are not writing any type of promotion activities or vulgar activities, this page must not be deleted. As the page is under construction, you made us very depressed psychologically in how to improve the article, so I request you to get the page approved and not be deleted thank you --Pyasi.arun (talk) 07:17, 9 October 2013 (UTC) Arun Kumar
- Comment: The problem here is not promotion, but rather a lack of notability. Wikipedia is not a place to establish notability; we only include subjects whose claims to notability have been supported by a number of independent, reliable sources - see WP:RS. hmssolent\You rang? ship's log 12:29, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
- Comment: Thank You for suggesting me guys, I appreciate your comment and I have a conclusion what I learned from you guys is that, I need to provide you the sources for the article, isn't it?. And the source can be a website right?. As, I am a member of developer team I alone can also be a source, but if you need the reliable source i.e. our official site. Our site is underconstruction and all the information will be also included there throughly with 24 hours. So, please approve the page and lets not delete the page. Please give me permission to remove the tag.--Pyasi.arun (talk) 15:00, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

- Delete - software article lacking significant coverage in reliable sources to establish notability; official sites / developers' sites are not sufficient to establish notability; created by an SPA as possibly promotional.Dialectric (talk) 15:11, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
Keep- So, if you are not looking for the official source, you can see the following source of the significant, http://aniljungkeccy.blogspot.com/2013/09/chitwanix-os-10.html , http://www.storyfic.com/chitwanix-os-1-0-kaadey-vyakur-spiny-babbler-released-nepal/ , http://facebook.com/chitwanix http://readmeloud.com/chitwanix-os-1-0/ ,etc etc. as I have already told you , the article is underconstruction , so please approve the article and let us add more information in it. --Pyasi.arun (talk) 15:48, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
- The sites you list are a personal blog, a reproduction of a press release, and what seems to be the Facebook page for the effort. None of this indicate that this is a notable project. We are not trying to hurt your feelings, we are just trying to maintain Wikipedia's standards for inclusion. If the article is deleted now, that does not mean that an article on the subject cannot be created later, once the OS has received sufficient attention. --Nat Gertler (talk) 16:11, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
KeepDude so, what do you really want.? please make me clear!!!--Pyasi.arun (talk) 16:25, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
- Take a look at Wikipedia's general notability guidelines for a sense of what we want. We want sources that are significant (coverage in places that suggest importance, in ways that suggest importance, not just passing mentions), reliable, and independent of the subject. Not everything gets a Wikipedia article. (Also please stop adding Keep at the front of each of your posts; each participant in an Article For Deletion discussion gets only on !vote.) --Nat Gertler (talk) 16:34, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
- Dude, the OS was released in 21st September, the photographs are a good evidence for it. If you want the coverage, we had a great press release of it in our country, Nepal on the day of SFD . And we have softpedia http://linux.softpedia.com/get/System/Operating-Systems/Linux-Distributions/Chitwanix-OS-102440.shtml and distrowatch :- http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=chitwanix, which is in pending and also she our google group of foss-nepal https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/foss-nepal and foss Nepal's website :- http://wiki.fossnepal.org ... So, here are some sources again !!! --Pyasi.arun (talk) 17:09, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
- If it was only recently released and it's not a product backed by a major company, it likely has not yet received the significant coverage from independent, reliable sources needed to qualify for a stand-alone article. WP:TOOSOON may apply. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:37, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
- Comment: WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS notwithstanding, many of the distributions at List of Linux distributions probably do not meet WP:GNG. In any case, this distribution should probably be added to that list. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 18:44, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
- Delete I can't find any RSes to support notability. Work through List of Linux distributions after this one closes. Walter Görlitz (talk) 19:04, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
- Dude, this OS is a free and Open Source Linux Based Operating system, and this is supported by FOSS Community Nepal and SPARC Incorporation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pyasi.arun (talk • contribs) 03:22, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
- Delete -- this distro is not notable. I can find no reliable sources that refer to it. 180.210.200.226 (talk) 03:38, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
- Sorry, but did u check out the above links?? And the newspaper, Himalayan Times?? , They are the reliable source and as this software is a Open Source, there are communities which supports it. You are far from nepal, so you are not getting the hard copy man!!, they are expressed online.--Pyasi.arun (talk) 03:46, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
