CHU/S

I know, I was marking them done for the users sake or other clerks, but I'll stop. Mlpearc (open channel) 16:29, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I just don't know if the bot will still mark it if there's another mark. –xenotalk 16:30, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It has in the past, if there's any problem with them I'll archive them manually :) Mlpearc (open channel) 16:43, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
OK, do your thing. Thanks, –xenotalk 16:44, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I left a usurpation request on WP:CHUU and it was done by you. However when I make a change it still shows up as my old username in the log. As far as I know this is not what should happen, is that right? My login name is still the same and the name that shows up on the right top corner is still the same. Could you please look into this? (Maybe because the old name user:Identitycrisis still remains?)

Thank you. --1wonjae (talk) 16:45, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Special:Logout and then log into the new name. –xenotalk 16:46, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

So after I log out, I log in with the same password and just the different username? Because it's not working. (Says wrong password) 1wonjae (talk) 16:49, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Are you using the correct capitalization? (IdentityCrisis?) It is the same password as you have current. Try password reset if still not work. –xenotalk 16:51, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oh right, I did not know it was case-sensitive. Thanks. IdentityCrisis (talk) 16:53, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. –xenotalk 16:58, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, just dropping by to let you know that User:VeteransPlus, whose CHUS request you approved, is an inappropriate username, given the recently G13'd AfC submission that the user created. I'm not asking you to reverse the username change, just wondering if a block would be justifiable in this case. hmssolent\You rang? ship's log 02:45, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I think it would be better to encourage them to change their username before blocking. (If they even continue editing). –xenotalk 14:58, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Well, if they filed in a CHUS request, it is likely that they might resume editing in the near future, so I've left them the standard COI-username template. I'll let you know if they have resumed editing. hmssolent\You rang? ship's log 09:39, 11 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds reasonable. Cheers, –xenotalk 14:23, 11 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bump

Hi Xeno, I see you're around. I sent you an email a week or two ago. Did you ever get it? Not really critical, but I never know whether to ignore these things, assuming you've got no comment, or risk pestering you. So I chose the latter. --Floquenbeam (talk) 19:03, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I don't read that email address. I should probably re-target my email here. Let me look now. –xenotalk 19:50, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Username change

Hi Xeno!

You were the one who authorized my username change from Natxohm to the one I am using now. Thanks for that. I have a question though. My old username is still active. I mean, I can still log in with it. There are no contributions associated to it, but I can still log in. Do I have to delete it somehow or does it disappear automatically? And another thing. Is there a way to change all usernames from all the other projects from one place? Thanks Xeno. Ijhm86 (talk) 11:30, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You can just safely ignore the recreated old username. To get your usernames on other projects changed, you need to go to the individual projects, or where they don't have bureaucrats, request at meta. See m:RENAMELINKS. –xenotalk 15:00, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! I guess I will have to go through all that process. I am enrolled in about 30 projects, although I have not made any contributions in 28 of them. Ijhm86 (talk) 08:29, 11 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
For those you have not yet contributed, if you don't care about your register date, you can just let the SUL make new accounts for you. For those with contributions you will probably want renamed. –xenotalk 14:16, 11 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Username change 2

Hi Xeno I want to changing my user name لطرش احمد الهاشمي to لطرش أحمد الهاشمي in other global Wikipedia, if you can please tell me--A. Latreche 20:47, 11 December 2013 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by لطرش أحمد الهاشمي (talkcontribs) [reply]

Sorry but I can only act on en.wiki. See m:RENAMELINKS. –xenotalk 22:05, 11 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Username change: Pakseykin -> UVSMTID

I've replied to you on this page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Changing_username/Simple#Pakseykin_.E2.86.92_UVSMTID

The ru wiki has already changed the username. That's why bot reports about it.
