Taylor C. Wallace, PhD, FACN, is the Senior Director, Science Policy and Government Relations at the National Osteoporosis Foundation (NOF)[1] and the Senior Director, Scientific and Clinical Programs at the National Bone Health Alliance (NBHA), a public-private partnership, managed and operated by the NOF. [2]

Dr. Wallace is a Trustee and acting Treasurer of Feeding Tomorrow, the Foundation of the Institute of Food Technologists.[3] Dr. Wallace is a fellow of the American College of Nutrition, and a member of the editorial board for the Journal of the American College of Nutrition. He has produced over 20 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. Dr. Wallace is the co-editor of Anthocyanins in Health and Disease Prevention[4] and the editor of Dietary Supplements in Health and Disease Prevention which will be published in 2014. Dr. Wallace is also an active member of the Institute of Food Technologists, the American Society of Nutrition, the American College of Nutrition, and the Phi Tau Sigma Honor Society for Food Science and Technology.


Early Career

Prior to joining NOF and NBHA, Dr. Wallace served as the Senior Director of Scientific & Regulatory Affairs at the Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN)[5], where he provided scientific and regulatory expertise for evaluating scientific research, ensured legislative and policy positions were based on credible science rationale, and developed new scientific reviews and original research for the peer-reviewed literature.


Education

Taylor received a PhD and an MS in Food Science and Nutrition from Ohio State University and a BS in Food Science and Technology from the University of Kentucky.
