Hopefully all of the text pieces accompanying the characters' names can be budded off as separate articles once there are enough of them, leaving this page as just a set of links. Lee M 18:39, 8 Jun 2004 (UTC)

I started adding more information to characters that are currently just a name, but shortly ran into the warning that the page may be longer than is desirable. Since many of the characters have insufficient information to bud off into their own articles at this point, I'm planning on migrating much of the content to the tribe pages, leaving this page with links to anchors on the other pages, much as the Discworld project has done with characters on the Witches (Discworld) and Ankh-Morpork City Watch pages, or the Tolkien project with the Baggins family page. From there the characters can be expanded and budded off if there's enough information and they're sufficiently major or important. Unless there's major disagreement with this? --CAnderson 15:35, Apr 26, 2005 (UTC)

I migrated the character summaries to the individual tribe pages to declutter this page, since it was approaching the size-warning size but most of the entries are not substantive or notable enough to merit individual character pages. I'm perfectly happy to have them move back to this page from the tribal pages, but they really ought to be consolidated onto one page. Are there strong feelings about where they ought to go? --CAnderson 01:58, Jun 7, 2005 (UTC)

How about keeping the character descriptions on the tribes' pages, and having only name, species, gender and alive/deceased on this list? I think that would work best. I am going to include characters from later series, and this list is going to get big. I object to the captions "[tribe name] Elves"; especially in the case of the Wolfriders this is not accurate, since they included at times humans and trolls. Anke 15:03, 7 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Relevance?

Is such an extensive list really appropriate for Wikipedia? Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not Michaelbusch 06:04, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

editor needed...

just a quick fix in the 'Guttlekraw's Trolls' section - some malformed wikipedia code where it mentions Go-Backs/Vaya... I don't know how to fix it, but someone ought to. I think that the link should say 'Vaya' and should link to the subject 'Go-Backs/Vaya', right? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 64.128.86.253 (talk) 22:18, 28 December 2006 (UTC).[reply]

Urda's demise

"Killed by the Go-Back Zey when she refuses to comply with the orders to attack the Sun-Folk."

Huh? Did I miss something? As I recall, Urda's hunting party was ambushed and taken below ground by trolls, and nothing more was heard from her. Did I miss something? Was the elf who tells of this lying and I just didn't get it? Songflower (talk) 09:52, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think this is a misunderstanding. Years - 2_page=1#_1 Hidden Years 2 Going back takes place a few years earlier. In this episode it is stated that Urda is already dead. She was killed when her hunting party was (for some unknown reason) attacked by trolls. Except for the war between the Go-Backs and Sun People there are only two recorded cases of an elf killing another elf. One took place in connection with the war when Kahvi killed Zey. The other was on the same day as the Blue Mountain collapsed. Strongbow then killed Kureel to save the life of his son Dart. It is questionable if there have been any more cases of murder among the elves.

Timmain did NOT give birth to Savah

Savah is not the literal daughter of Timmain. She does send “you are my mother too” when Timmain turns up. But the of the Broken Wheel – 4_page=1#_1 context makes it clear that she means it metaphorically. Furthermore, ElfQuest - 3_page=1#_1 part three of the original series - which takes place ten years earlier – begins with Savah introducing herself to the Wolfriders. Amazed by her size and beauty Cutter asks if she is a High One. Savah not only answers “no” but also says she has never actually met a High One. After calling the oldest living Wolfrider a “stapling” (to the amusement of his 15-year-old daughter) she explains the origin of the Sun People. She says she is one of the founders and shows a relief on the wall of her house. It depicts five elves walking on dunes: two adult men, one adult woman, a girl and a boy. If the tree adults are Savah’s parents and her uncle the girl must be Savah herself. I have started to imagine the boy as her later lifemate Yurek but I don’t know if this is canon.

I ought to correct myself. It is not in part 3 but ElfQuest - 6_page=1#_1 part 6 of the original series which Savah says she have never meet a High One. However, I accept that Timmain had a daughter before the birth of Voll. In my imagination she in turn gave birth to Savah’s mother a millennium later. If so all members of the Sun People existing at the start of the original series were female line only descendants of Timmain.

Contradiction about Ahdri

This article contradicts itself about what eventually happened to Ahdri. In the - The Searcher & the Sword_page=1#_1 The Searcher and the Sword it is revealed she was gravely wounded when humans invaded Sorrow’s End. She was placed in Wrapstuff (a magical kind of suspended animation) and later found by a group of trolls. They carried her away to cave beneath the forest where the Wolfriders settle. There she is eventually found by Treestump and Clearbrook. Ahdri is then healed by Leetah and joins the Wolfriders.

Timmorn Yellow-Eyes – how many are “many”?

The description of Timmorn Yellow-Eyes seems a bit exaggerated. In ElfQuest - 13_page=1#_1 part 13 of the original series it is show that the Wolfriders had a founding population of only six people. (No more are shown at the same time.) Other than Timmorn himself these were three men and two women. One of the women was Rellah and one of the men most likely Eldolil. I have decided to call the other woman Guvayin and the other two men Esakorn and Arotheel. In my imagination Valloa was the daughter of Eldolil and Guvayin. Has this ever been contradicted by the Pinis? Anyway, at the time of Timmorn’s death I don’t think the Wolfriders were more than 25 people. At least seven of them were his own children. I accept that Timmorn did not even know himself how many children he had.

Plausible origin of Teir

I don’t think Teir is the son of Kahvi. The man he calls his “father” is evidently his biological father as he has inherited his ability to fool animals into thinking he is one of them. One could imagine that he recognised Kahvi who handed over her son to him when he was an infant. However, if they had lived together during the whole pregnancy they would have become lifemates. This in turn would have meant she would not have abandoned Teir’s father. Outside Recognition it is the woman who decides if she is going to get pregnant. Combined with elves being unable to reproduce unless they need to this means children are always wanted by their mothers. This in turn makes it highly unlikely that Teir’s biological mother would have abandoned him as an infant.

In Years - 23_page=1#_1# Hidden Years 23 Teir makes his best to explain his origin. He says he has heard of a ground-quake which split his ancestor’s tribe in two. In of the Broken Wheel - 2_page=1#_1# Kings of the Broken Wheel 2 Rayek uses his temporary superpowers to create a such. In of the Broken Wheel - 6_page=1#_1 Kings of the Broken Wheel 6 only Kahvi, Venka and Urda are shown on the western side of the ravine. Kahvi rides away carrying the infant Venka with her. Urda evidently manages to get around the ravine as the other Go-Backs know how she died when Kahvi eventually returns. However, it is not hard to imagine at least five more Go-Backs ending up on the western side. If they don’t know about Urda’s successful attempt to get around the ravine such a group could form a new tribe. Anyway, it is made clear that a group of elves emigrated to Junsland (a different continent than the one the elves first ended up on). Teir says he is a fifth generation descendant of these emigrants. He also says there are several family groups of elves wandering around in Junsland. Teir himself was born into one of them which had settled at Howling Rock.

In the Pinis’ unfinished - Recognition - 1 and 2_page=1#_1 Recognition it is revealed that Teir met Kahvi as very small child, possibly an infant. The aged human Lehrigen turns up confessing he had killed Kahvi. He then shows Ember and her followers one of Kahvi’s four plaits. When feeling the smell of her hair Teir recalls a few visual pictures of her. These are evidently very painful memories. But for the above reasons I don’t think he is the son of her.

Possible origin of Ekuar, Mekda and Osek

In part ElfQuest - 20_page=1#_1 20 of the original series there is an indication of Ekuar having actually meet the High Ones before Timmain turns up. (She is most likely the only High One still alive at the time.) This indicates he that he was bon relatively early in the history of elves on the world of two moons. In ElfQuest - 18_page=1#_1# part 18 Ekuar says Mekda and Osek are his childhood friends. This means they were born within the same tribe no more than a few years apart. However, he never says which one this tribe was.

A possible solution is that the three rockshapers were born before the elves divided into tribes. The High Ones, their children and grandchildren may well have held together as a tribe for centuries. Eventually, Ekuar was born as the High Ones’ first great-grandchild. Just a couple of year before and/or after Mekda and Osek were born. These three were enslaved while they still were children. Shortly afterwards the rest of the elves split into three tribes. One of these tribes becomes the Gliders. Another gives rise to the Wave Dancers and Sun People. The third one gives rise to the Wolfriders which the Go-Backs later splint of from. Before the event of “Kings of the Broken Wheel” I seriously doubt any more elfin tribes existed.

The eventual fates of Rahnee She-Wolf and Zarhan Fastfire

The list states that Rahnee She-Wolf and Zarhan Fastfire did not die when the Wolfriders thought they did. They would instead have joined a tribe of “plains elves”. I seriously doubt that such a tribe existed. The Go-Backs did not exist yet as they split off from the Wolfriders later on. (Their first chief was Rahnee's and Zarhan's grandchild.) The Gliders lived in forests before isolating themselves in Blue Mountain. So did the ancestors of the Sun People before settling at Sorrow's End. There is no indication of the Wave Dancers ever having lived on plains. Unless the Pinis intend to introduce a sixth tribe in the as yet unfinished Quest_page=1#_1# FinalQuest I don't think any more elfin tribes existed at the time.

I have made up an alternative timeline based on the above presuppositions. In my imagination Rahnee She-Wolf and Zarhan Fastfire Recognized four times. Rahnee was eventually killed by humans. Less than a century later Zarhan was also killed by humans. In both cases other Wolfriders saw them dead. Of cause, this is just the result of my vivid but realistic imagination. In the case of a fictitious universe “realistic” means that formulated rules are followed as close as possible.

Suggestions of more historical Wolfriders

In ElfQuest – 13_page=1#_1 ElfQuest 13 The secret of the Wolfriders a four page flashback explains the origin of the Wolfriders. In my imagination this takes place during the decades after Ekuar, Mekda and Osek was enslaved. If so, it would have taken place on the south(east)ern side of the Frozen Mountains. On the north(west)ern side all trees had already frozen to death due to the cooling climate mentioned both in connection with this and by Ekuar.
In this flashback no more than six people are shown at a time. This indicates the founders of the Wolfriders were only six. Other than Timmorn Yellow-Eyes these were three men and two women. I have decided that one of the men was Rellah and one of the men Eldolil. If Rellah is accepted as the daughter of Timmain this means she was Timmorn’s half-sister. The other woman I have chosen to call Guvayin. The two remaining men I have named Esakorn and Arotheel. Rellah was the daughter of two High Ones if I understand it correctly. Arotheel, Eldolil, Esakorn and Guvayin had one parent who was a High One and one who was the child of two High Ones. Except for Timmorn and Rellah being half-siblings the founders were not related to each other. At worst, they may have been third cousins. This works if 17 High Ones survived the first winter and no two was closer than second cousins.
I then imagine Guvayin as Eldolil’s lifemate. One of their daughters become the lifemate of Timmorn. Esakorn was Rellah’s lifemate and one of their daughters become Arotheel’s. At the splitting of the Wolfriders the only founders still alive were Rellah and Eldolil. Rellah followed Two-Spear but died from an accident before him. Eldolil stayed on with Skyfire. He committed suicide mere days after the death of Freefoot.
In addition to the one listed 78 historical Wolfriders has been named so far. These were born during the rule of Timmorn Yellow-Eyes:

¤ Almek (or Almeck) followed Two-Spear after the Wolfriders’ splitting and died during the rule of his son Icetooth. Son of Jennah and Enlet, brother of Oraynah*, lifemate of Sharpears, father of Softfoot.
¤ Brighteyes died during the rule of Prey-Pacer. Daughter of Rahnee and Zarhan, sister of Cat, Penda and Prey-Pacer.
¤ Cat died during the rule of Skyfire. Son of Rahnee and Zarhan, brother of Brighteyes, Penda and Preypacer.
¤ Enlet died during the rule of Rahnee She-Wolf. Son of Guvayin and Eldolil, brother of Merrolah*, Sofee and Valloa, lifemate of Jennah, father of Almek and Oraynah*.
¤ Frost died during the rule of Rahnee She-Wolf. Son of Valloa and Timmorn, brother of Laststarar, Rahnee and Tisot, half-brother of Glowstone, Journey and Sharpears, lifemate of Oraynah*, father of Wreath.
¤ Glowstone died during the rule of Rahnee She-Wolf. Daughter of Merrolah* and Timmorn, half-sister of Frost, Journey, Laststar, Menolan, Rahnee, Seeree, Sharpears and Tisot.
¤ Graywolf followed Two-Spear after the Wolfriders’ splitting but died before his chief. He was the son of Seeree and Journey. After the splitting he once Recognised Rellah. The result was a daughter which become the lifemate of Willowgreen’s and Two-Spear’s son Icetooth.
¤ Jennah died during the rule of Rahnee She-Wolf. Daughter of Rellah and Esakorn, sister of Marrek, Talen and Uyoha, lifemate of Enlet, mother of Almek and Oraynah*.
¤ Journey followed Two-Spear after the Wolfriders’ splitting but died before his chief. Son of Oraynah* and Timmorn, half-brother of Frost, Glowstone, Laststar, Rahnee, Sharpears and Tisot, lifemate of Seeree, father of Graywolf.
¤ Laststar died during the rule of Rahnee She-Wolf. Daughter of Valloa and Timmorn, sister of Frost, Rahnee and Tisot, half-brother of Glowstone, Journey and Sharpears.
¤ Marrek (or Marreck) followed Two-Spear after the Wolfriders’ splitting and died during the rule of his son Icetooth. Son of Rellah and Esakorn, brother of Jennah, Talen and Uyoha.
¤ Menolan died during the rule of Freefoot. Daughter of Merrolah* and Nefahrin, sister of Seeree, half-sister of Glowstone.
¤ Merrolah* died during the rule of Timmorn Yellow-Eyes. Daughter of Guvayin an Eldolil, sister of Enlet, Sofee and Valloa, lovemate of Timmorn, later lifemate of Nefahrin, mother of Glowstone, Menolan and Seeree.
¤ Nefahrin followed Two-Spear after the Wolfriders’ splitting and died during the rule of his son Icetooth. Son of Uyoha and Arotheel, brother of Zarhan and Zithee*, lifemate of Merrolah*, father of Menolan and Seree.
¤ Oraynah* died during the rule of Two-Spear. Daughter of Jennah and Enlet, sister of Almek, lovemate of Timmorn, later lifemate of Frost, mother of Journey and Wreath.
¤ Seeree followed Two-Spear after the Wolfriders’ splitting and died during the rule of his son Icetooth. Daughter of Merrolah* and Nefahrin, sister of Menolan, half-sister of Glowstone, lifemate of Journey, mother of Graywolf.
¤ Sharpears died during the rule of Rahnee She-Wolf. Daughter of Zithee* and Timmorn, half-sister of Frost, Glowstone, Journey, Laststar, Rahnee and Tisot, lifemate of Almek, mother of Softfoot.
¤ Sofee died during the rule of Two-Spear. Daughter of Guvayin an Eldolil, sister of Enlet, Merrolah* and Valloa, lifemate of Talen, mother of Willowgreen.
¤ Softfoot died during the rule of Two-Spear. Daughter of Sharpears and Almek, lifemate of Prey-Pacer, mother of Dove and Two-Spear.
¤ Talen died earlier the same year as Freefoot. Son of Rellah and Esakorn, brother of Jennah, Marrek and Uyoha, lifemate of Sofee, father of Willowgreen.
¤ Tisot (or Threetoe) died during the rule of Two-Spear. Son of Valloa and Timmorn, brother of Frost, Laststar and Rahnee, half-brother of Glowstone, Journey and Sharpeyes.
¤ Uyoha* died during the rule of Timmorn Yellow-Eyes. Daughter of Rellah and Esakorn, sister of Jennah, Marrek and Talen, lifemate of Arotheel, mother of Nefahrin, Zarhan Fastfire and Zithee*.
¤ Valloa (or Murrel) died during the rule of Timmorn Yellow-Eyes. Daughter of Guvayin an Eldolil, sister of Enlet, Merrolah* and Sofee, lifemate of Timmorn Yellow-Eyes, mother of Frost, Laststar, Rahnee and Tisot.
¤ Zarhan Fastfire died during the rule of Two-Spear. Son of Uyoha and Arotheel, brother of Nefahrin and Zithee*, lifemate of Rahnee She-Wolf, father of Brighteyes, Cat, Penda and Prey-Pacer.
¤ Zithee* died during the rule of Rahnee She-Wolf. Daughter of Uyoha and Arotheel, sister of Nefahrin and Zarhan, lovemate of Timmorn, mother of Sharpears.

The child whose father is unknown and could be Timmorn is not named here. Please note that in this scenario the same couple can Recognise up to four times. The existence of a Wolfrider named Ice is considered questionable. Also, during the lifetime of Zarhan Fastfire there were only four elfin tribes. These were the Wolfriders, one which later gave rise to the Sun People, the Gliders (which settled at Blue Mountain during the period) and one developing into the Wave Dancers. The last one lived at the coast of the Cut of the Black Snake while all the others lived in forests. This means both Zarhan and his lifemate really died (they were seen dead by other Wolfriders) and did not just disappear. These were born during the rule of Rahnee She-Wolf:

¤ Dove died during the rule of Two-Spear. Daughter of Softfoot and Prey-Pacer, sister of Two-Spear, half-sister of Skyfire.
¤ Penda died during the rule of Rahnee She-Wolf. Daughter of Rahnee and Zarhan, sister of Brighteyes, Cat and Prey-Pacer.
¤ Wreath died during the rule of Two-Spear. Daughter of Oraynah* and Frost, lifemate of Prey-Pacer, mother of Skyfire.

I have no suggestion of specific persons born during the rule of Prey-Pacer. Tisot may well have had several children during the period but these have not been named. Neither have I decided if he had them with Dove and/or Menolan. However, these were born during the rule of Two-Spear (originally Swift-Spear):

¤ Dreamsinger died during the rule of Skyfire. Lovemate of Skyfire, father of Freefoot and Nightstar.
¤ Willowgreen survived Two-Spear and died during the rule of his son Icetooth. Daughter of Sofee and Talen, lifemate of Two-Spear with which she had a son and a daughter.

In this scenario Kahvi is not Two-Spear’s daughter but his great-great-great-granddaughter. Willowgreen and Two-Spear did have a son named Icetooth. However, their daughter was named Berryseed (a name inspired by the fact that “kahvi” means “coffee” in Finnish). Two-Spear never denied her existence but he definitely disliked her.
These were born during the rule of Skyfire:

¤ Fangslayer died during the rule of Tanner. Son of Starflower and Freefoot, brother of Highoak and Tanner.
¤ Nightstar died during the rule of Skyfire. Daughter of Skyfire and Dreamsinger, sister of Freefoot.
¤ Starflower died during the rule of Tanner. Lifemate of Freefoot, mother of Fangslayer, Highoak and Tanner.

This one was born during the rule of Freefoot:

¤ Highoak died during the rule of Goodtree. Son of Starflower and Freefoot, brother of Fangslayer and Tanner.

In this scenario Freefoot never meet the ancestors of the Go-Backs. These lived in a forest further north and were already stage riders. They also kept the same (fictitious) species of deer as livestock.
These were born during the rule of Tanner (originally Oakroot):

¤ Crabcatcher* died during the rule of Goodtree. Lifemate of Joyfeather*, mother of Joyleaf and Treestump.
¤ Brownwolf* died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Runner, mother of Woodlock.
¤ Eyes-High died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Shale, mother of Skywise.
¤ Harehunter* died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Swiftbow, father of Redlance (originally Redmark).
¤ Joyfeather* died during the rule of Goodtree. Lifemate of Crabcatcher*, father of Joyleaf and Treestump.
¤ Lionleaper died during the rule of Goodtree. Lifemate of Goodtree, father of Mantricker and Speedwell.
¤ Stormlight died during the rule of Tanner. Lifemate of Tanner, mother of Goodtree.
¤ Weasel* died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Joyfur*, mother of Deeproot* and Treetrunk.

These were born during the rule of Goodtree:

¤ Brightwater died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lovemate of Treetrunk, mother of Moonshade.
¤ Dagger* died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Nightsky*, father of Longbranch and One-Eye (originally Woodhue).
¤ Daybreak* died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lovemate of Rain, mother of Pike.
¤ Deeproot* died during the rule of Bearclaw. Son of Weasel* and Joyfur*, brother of Treetrunk, lifemate of Willowind*, father of Clearbrook.
¤ Greenflower* died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Rain, mother of Rainsong.
¤ Joyfur* died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Weasel*, father of Deeproot* and Treetrunk.
¤ Nightsky* died during the rule of Bearclaw. Daughter of Goodtree and Acorn, sister of Swiftbow, half-sister of Mantricker and Speedwell.
¤ Rillfisher died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Treestump, mother of Dewshine.
¤ Speedwell died during the rule of Mantricker. Daughter of Goodtree and Lionleaper, sister of Mantricker, half-sister of Nightsky and Swifbow.
¤ Starfire died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Trueflight, father of Strongbow.
¤ Swiftbow died during the rule of Bearclaw. Daughter of Goodtree and Acorn, sister of Nightsky, half-sister of Mantricker and Speedwell, lifemate of Harehunter*, mother of Redlance (originally Redmark).
¤ Thornflower died during the rule of Mantricker. Lifemate of Mantricker, mother of Bearclaw.
¤ Treetrunk* died during the rule of Bearclaw. Son of Weasel* and Joyfur*, brother of Deeproot*, lovemate of Brightwater, father of Moonshade.
¤ Willowind* died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Deeproot*, mother of Clearbrook.

In this scenario Moonshade is the daughter of Brightwater but not of Mantricker. Her father was a different lovemate named Treetrunk which I have made up myself. Also, Starfire died from an accident before the birth of his and Trueflight’s son. This explains what happened to Strongbow’s father which has never been mentioned.
These were born during the rule of Mantricker:

¤ Buckthorn died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Hummer, father of Sharpsight and Sprout.
¤ Hummer died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Buckthorn, mother of Sharpsight and Sprout.
¤ Longbranch died shortly before Bearclaw. Son of Nightsky and Dagger*, brother of One-Eye, lifemate of Brownberry, father of Nightfall.
¤ Moss died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Joygrass, father of Shale.
¤ Raveneye died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Sharpesight, mother of Foxfur.
¤ Runner died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Brownwolf*, father of Woodlock.
¤ Sharpesight died during the rule of Bearclaw. Son of Hummer and Buckthorn, brother of Sprout, lifemate of Raveneye, father of Foxfur.
¤ Sprout died during the rule of Bearclaw. Son of Hummer and Buckthorn, brother of Sharpsight.
¤ Trueflight died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Starfire, mother of Strongbow.
¤ Wistlebranch died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Willowtwig, father of Brownberry.

These were born during the rule of Bearclaw:

¤ Brownberry died shortly before Bearclaw. Daughter of Willowtwig and Whistlebranch, lifemate of Longbranch, mother of Nightfall.
¤ Crescent died during the rule of Bearclaw. Daughter of Moonshade and Strongbow, sister of Dart.
¤ Foxfur died shortly before Bearclaw. Daughter of Raveneye and Sharpesight.
¤ Joygrass* died during the rule of Bearclaw. Daughter of Willowtwig and Whistlebranch, sister of Brownberry, lifemate of Moss, mother of Shale.
¤ Moth died during the rule of Bearclaw. Daughter of Clearbrook and One-Eye (originally Woodhue), sister of Scouter.
¤ Shale died during the rule of Bearclaw. Son of Joygrass and Moss, lifemate of Eyes-High, father of Skywise.
¤ Willowtwig* died during the rule of Bearclaw. Lifemate of Whistlebranch, mother of Joygrass and Brownberry.

Persons marked with an asterisk have been made up by me. This is where I got some of the others from:

§ Brownberry, Foxfur and Longbranch are shown in ElfQuest - 4_page=1#_1 ElfQuest 4 Wolfsong. The context is Cutter retelling Rain’s, Joyleaf’s and Bearclaw’s death.
§ Acorn is shown in ElfQuest – 12_page=1#_1# ElfQuest 12 What is the Way? but is not mentioned by name, so the identification is my educated guess. The context is Strongbow reminding the other Wolfriders of how they lived before finding the Sun People.
§ Rillfisher is shown in of the Broken Wheel – 5_page=1#_1# Kings of the Broken Wheel 5. The context is Treestump explaining how Dewshine’s mother died.
§ Crescent and Trueflight are featured in - Wolfrider!_page=1#_1 Wolfrider!. This series describes the last few decades of Bearclaw’s life.
§ Eyes-High and Shale are featured in Years - 5_page=1#_1# Hidden Years 5 Starfall, starrise. This episode explains what happened to Skywise’ parents.
§ Graywolf, Rellah, Talen and Willowgreen are featured in Blood of Ten Chiefs of Ten Chiefs - 3_page=1#_1 3of Ten Chiefs - 4_page=1#_1 4. These two also features a black-haired, blue-eyed, pure-breed elf-woman I choose to call Sofee.
§ Eldolil, Fangslayer, Highoak and Starflower are featured in of Ten Chiefs - 17_page=1#_1 Blood of Ten Chiefs 17 Howl for Eldolil. This episode describes events surrounding Freefoot’s death.
§ Lionleaper is featured in of Ten Chiefs - 8_page=1#_1 Blood of Ten Chiefs 8 Spirit quest. This one also features the spirit of the dead Stormlight.
§ Buckthorn, Hummer, Moss, Raveneye, Sharpesight, Sprout and Wistlebranch are shown in Years - 20_page=1#_1 Hidden Years 20 When head meats head. The context is Pike telling the story of the strangest case of Recognition he has ever heard of.
§ Zarhan Fastfire is featured in of Ten Chiefs - 1_page=1#_1 Blood of Ten Chiefs 1 Colours. This episode contradicts the original series in a crucial way so I consider it non-canon. However, it seems to be established that he was the lifemate of Rahnee She-Wolf and father of Prey-Pacer.
§ Runner is featured in Blood – 6_page=1#_1# Auspicious Beginnings. This is a non-canon tale but I found him useful as Woodlock’s father.
§ Starfire was made up as the mascot for the scientific experiment Enclosed Laminar Flame (shortened ELF). Since he was depicted in the clothing of a Wolfrider I decided to consider him one.

The rest I can only remember being mentioned in writing. I am not sure were they originally come from. But I really hope they were not made up by the person(s) writing this article.
Is there any information from the Pinis contradicting any of this? What I mean is either writing or comics made entirely by them (except possibly inking and/or colouring). Comics or writing by others is also accepted if it does not contradict them in any way crucial to the story. Contradictions in small details like a person’s hair colour don’t matter to me.

Suggestions of early member of the Sun People

The Sun People descends from an earlier elf tribe which called themselves the Rootless Ones (a name found in this collection of texts and sketches). The founders were five people which Savah calls her “family” in ElfQuest - 3_page=1#_1 ElfQuest 3 The challenge. In connection with this she says she is one of the founders herself. She also points out a relief on the wall of her house showing two adult men, one adult woman and two children of different ages. In ElfQuest – 6_page=1#_1 ElfQuest 6 The quest begins Savah says that her mother was also one of the founders. This means the adult woman in the relief was her. Her name has never been revealed so I have chosen to call her Romahyeen. Savah must have been one of the two children. It has been revealed in writing that Savah’s lifemate was named Yurek. In my imagination he was the other child depicted in the relief. The two men I have chosen to call the two adult men Tessokah and Zhulek. Then I made up that these two were brothers. I also made up that Zhulek was Romahyeen’s lifemate and Savah’s father. Similarly, I made up that Tessokah was Yurek’s father. The rest of the Rootless Ones were killed by humans including Yurek’s mother.

In addition I have made up how these five people reproduced. Romahyeen and Zhulek had two more children within ten years of their escape from the humans. These were a son named Hissok and a daughter named Bagovah. When Savah and Yurek were young adults they Recognised for the first time. The result was a son named Pelavi. During the following decades Savah and Yurek Recognised twice more resulting in their daughters Yemmah and Foyeen. After Foyeen had reached adulthood Romahyeen and Zhulek Recognised for the last time resulting in their son Rolak. When he had lived in Sorrow’s end for a little more than two hundred years Zhulek died from an accident. After her lifemate’s death Romahyeen had two more children with Tessokah outside Recognition. These were a daughter and a son named Tommah and Tuleyi. After the birth of Romahyeen’s youngest son the Sun People reproduced only though Recognition. This in order to minimize the risks of inbreeding which are threats to elves, too.

Please note that Bagovah, Foyeen, Hissok, Pelavi, Tommah and Tuleyi have been made up by me. I have also made up the eventual fate of everyone mentioned above other than Savah and Yurek. Not only Zhulek but also his two sons Hissok and Rolak died from accidents. So did Romahyeen’s and Tessokah’s daughter Tommah. Tessokah, Romahyeen, Bagovah, Yemmah, Foyeen and Tuleyi all died from infectious diseases. It has been revealed in writing that Yurek committed suicide. When the Wolfriders discover the Sun People the only one named above still alive is Savah. She is also still alive Quest_page=1 at the current time of this comic.
