Porcine coronavirus HKU15

Porcine coronavirus HKU15 (PorCoV HKU15) was first discovered in a surveillance study in Hong Kong, China, [1] but it has not been reported to be associated with porcine diarrhea until February of 2014. In February of 2014, PorCoV HKU15 was identified in pigs with clinical diarrhea disease in Ohio of United States. It was first named as swine deltacoronavirus (SDCV). [2]. But its correct species name is porcine coronavirus HKU15. The complete genome of one US strain has been published. [3]. Since then, it has been identified in Canada. [4]
