Sorry

This is taking a while to clear up, and I'd rather you not keep making more (disputed) contributions until everything is sorted. It shouldn't take more than an hour or so.

I don't want you to get disgusted and leave Wikipedia; you're welcome to stay. But this is just to help things stay under control. Okay? DS 20:20, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Turkish provinces

Why are you tagging turkish provinces under Category:Kurdistan? --Cool CatTalk|@ 15:56, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you even tagging Mykonos (restaurant) with Category:Kurdistan? It is a restourant in berlin germany! --Cool CatTalk|@ 17:50, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kurdish

I know that Kurds are an Iranian people. You may want to explain that to Dynako. Happy Norooz by the way. --ManiF 13:38, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Since you are familiar with Kurdish issues, please make a comment here. They have removed the cited statement that "the Kurds are an Iranian people" from the article, once again. --ManiF 15:22, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RfC comments

Muhamed, I think your comments on the RfC will be regarded by many as rather inappropriate and are unlikely to help you there. If you want advice on how to deal with thie RfC situation, please feel free to ask me. Lukas (T.|@) 21:56, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Happy New year!

Late Norouz mobarak to you and happy new year! Welcome to the wikipedia family. I am a big fan of Kurds, they have been greatly influential part of Iran and its history.

Some of the Kurd brothers here however have been claiming that Kurds are infact close to Jews and not Iranians, which came as a shock to me, I hope you can defend articles such as Kurdish people against such rootless claims. --Kash 22:44, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

-I would like to know your opinion at [2], thanks brother! --Kash 00:17, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kurds and Iranians

Hello and ew katet bash.

  • Kurdish language is classified as Iranian because gramatically they share some points togethher and it does not mean necessarily that Kurdish and Iranian languages all are from one origin. It is just a classification.
  • Kurdish people can be refered to as Iranian if there is already a clear definition of Iranian peoples. What is Iranian peoples, Threre is already Germanic, Turkic, Semitic peoples which are an linguistic classifications, It is possible that some members of this family share ethnical or cultural traits but they are all distinct ethnic or ethnolinguistic groups among themselves. The term Iranian peoples unlike all other above mentioned terms has no clear definition. some see it as Persians, some see them as Persian-speaking peoples i.e. including Persians, Afghans and Tajiks, but the most corrected definition is those who speak one of languages which is classifiaed as Iranian languages, and clearly it is a linguistic classification not an ethnic one. Ethniclally Kurds are Kurds but linguistically one can say Kurds are Iranian, this wording by itself is not common and widely-used.

If you have any questions feel free to ask me. Serkewtu bi u Newrozisht lé piroz be. Diyako Talk + 16:00, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Kirkuk

Encyclopedia Britannica which is one of the most authorative encyclopedias in the world clearly states that Kirkuk is in Kurdistan. There are also other Encyclopedias and neutral, credible and reliable sources which agree with that. I added the source and clarified it. If there is any other wrong info in it, tell me I can correct it by adding neutral sources. Diyako Talk + 16:07, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If somewhere in an article you find an unsourced claim that you see it incorrect just add {{fact}} to that section. people will find and correct that or add related sources to that. Diyako Talk + 16:11, 23 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mutual aid

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Hurriyya_notice_board

I have set up a notice board to give collective support to those facing racism, nationalist bigotry and group intimidation while editing articles related to Middle Eastern issues. There are a growing number of people who are coming across the same problems with the same users, but are outnumbered and over-ruled. It is plain and simple bullying. They are being turned off Wikipedia because of this behaviour. I hope that we can all support each other.

The title is "Hurriyya", which means "freedom".--Ahwaz 17:56, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Civility

Please try and keep a cool head, despite comments people may make against you. Personal attacks and disruptive comments will only escalate a situation; please keep calm and action can be taken against the other parties if necessary. Your involvement in attacking back can only satisfy trolls or anger contributors, and lead to general bad feeling. Please try and be civil. Thanks! For your info

There is an arbitration case filed and you are one of the involved parties. --Cool CatTalk|@ 08:06, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
