John Newcomb Boyett is a current safety for the Denver Broncos. He was waived by the Indianapolis Colts on September 3, 2013, after an arrest in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. The Colts had selected Boyett as a sixth round draft pick and pick number 192 overall in the 2013 NFL draft. He played college football for the Oregon Ducks. He signed with the Colts on May 9[1] and was placed on the non-football injury list on July 23, 2013.[2] On September 2, 2013, Boyett was arrested for charges of disorderly conduct, public intoxication and resisting law enforcement.[3] Boyett was signed to the Denver Broncos' practice squad on November 19, 2013.[4]
