The 2014–15 KHL season will be the seventh season of the Kontinental Hockey League. Ahead of the season, KHL added three more teams: Jokerit from Helsinki, Lada Togliatti after missing four seasons, and HC Sochi, a newly created team from Sochi.[1]
Besides, Spartak Moscow will not play in this season after missing the deadline for providing financial guarantees. HC Donbass will not play due to the political instability in Ukraine.[2]
