Editing to remove what I believe is a factual error.

The section on History [of Lamar Institute of Technology] states the following: "LIT began in 1946 as the Division of Vocations within Lamar College, a historically black college."

Although I have no source to refute this claim, I nonetheless believe that Lamar was not an "historically black college". As there is no source cited to establish this fact, and from what I personally know of the history of Lamar University, I think this statement should be redacted until such time as it can be established from credible sources. A few alumni and former employees of Lamar University that I have questioned agree that this is likely spurious. Therefore, I am editing out the last phrase of the quoted sentence. 204.58.248.32 (talk) 14:31, 24 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
