Thanks for stopping by. PS. I find it funny when editors address me as "Call Me Nathan". That's not the point! You're supposed to call me "Nathan".

Song article: "All I want for Christmas is you"

Hello Nathan- I'm Tom, aka Nuance 4 (my vocal jazz group). I'm a DJ at WMKV-FM 89.3 in Cincy.

Let me tell you of a frustration of mine: When someone writes a book, or a song, it is copyrighted to insure its intellectual property rights to the owner/creator. HOWEVER, under this law, the TITLE of the work is not protected, and someone else can create a completely new work, but legally use an old title. For example, "Band Of Brothers" can refer to several different books written over many decades. This means for someone seeking a specific work, he may have to eliminate several other ambiguous works with the same title.

It is for this reason that last January I added a short paragraph "Ambiguity" to "All I want for Christmas is you". If someone is looking for a cover version of Mariah Carey's song, he might accidentally buy the song Johnny Mandel wrote - since there is a Tony Bennett recording with the same (albeit erroneous) title. You decided this caveat was unnecessary and deleted it October 30. If you think it through, I ask you to reconsider this, since it can save a buyer some grief.

Let me know what you think.

Tom

Regarding your "I'll post the second half within the next day or so. No worries, I won't disappear" statement..... I'm hoping you haven't disappeared or that internet access isn't an issue at the moment- it's been a few days since you left that comment or edited at all. Trouble

Hi Peter, How are you? I'm going to try to keep it short, and just say... I respect your work a lot and I think your writing is brilliant, and the amount of hard work and dedication you put—especially in Mariah's aticles—is amazing. You've probably never even heard of Natalia Kills, but I have been working on the article for her sophomore studio album Trouble since September 2013. I'm not exactly a fan, but I do like the album and I wanted to improve its Wiki page. Although it's been hard to find sources, as this didn't get any commercial success per se, I sincerely worked my ass off and I think I've developed a well-structured and comprehensive article. I think that its prose may hold it back, though, because English isn't my native language. Could you take a look at the sandbox where I'm finishing the final version of the article, which I will take to FAC on 25/26 July (here) and give it a short review on prose and anything else that you find relevant? I would be honored to have your opinion regarding the article. If you can't/don't want to, it's OK. Thank you for reading! pedro | talk 11:28, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Prism: You are too kind Pedro. It's easier to spot the flaws in someone else's work than to procure your own standout prose :) I have not heard of her, but I have no problem in doing what I can to help. I don't think I would be commenting on the FAC (I try not to weigh in on FACs of editors I'm familiar-ish with) however, I could definitely try and prune the prose and assist where possible. As a point of recommendation, maybe wait a bit more time before submitting it to FAC? I need to finish my review of Beyonce, but once that's done I can have a look. I'll do a similar review for the article on the sandbox talkpage? Hope I can be of some help. Cheers.--PeterGriffinTalk2Me 11:41, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
What a quick response; thank you! That's OK, Peter (also the Portuguese equivalent to Pedro, haha), I was thinking either in the sandbox talkpage or my own talkpage, but it's fine either way. I actually have to nominate it max. on 31 July, because I'll be travelling in September and school also starts that month. pedro | talk 11:52, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Lol you caught me at the right moment ;) Okay mate, it's your call. Just know it's a long and tedious process that shouldn't be rushed into.--PeterGriffinTalk2Me 11:58, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Last-minute polishing

Peter, I'm finally taking Katy Perry to FAC tomorrow (fingers crossed). If you have any additional pre-FAC suggestions, please leave them on the talk page. SNUGGUMS (talk · contribs) 18:43, 24 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hey ! Hi !

Hey ! How are you ? It's been a very long time... :O

I decreased my contributions on WP for two years. I also began to attend at university. I still have Jackson's scans but I put these articles on stand by. :( Just see that some of them have been promote to GA like Together Again. However, I want to make my own work so I won't translate the articles to French WP, just take the sources.

Moreover, I need a Native English-speaker to review this. I think that some sentences are clumsy.

@Pixelyoshi: Hi Yoshi! Long time :) Yup, I'm pretty inactive. Just around to help out the younger generation of Wikipedians lol. Sure, I'm finishing off with a extensive GA review but I'll try and take a look afterwards. Cheers buddy.--PeterGriffinTalk2Me 02:52, 29 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Review

Hi Nathan! You probably haven't started the review for my sandbox, but as I'm still working on the article, could you wait a few days? I took your advice about not rushing into the FAC process. Thank you! pedro | talk 23:06, 28 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Jennifer Lopez

It's not 2012 anymore, your sources are outdated. You need to stop trying to change it when all current sources say 80 million albums. Mussobrennon (talk) 00:26, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
