Cristian Marian Manea (born 9 August 1997) is a Romanian footballer currently under contract with Liga I side Viitorul Constanța. He plays as a right back.[1]
Club career
Viitorul Constanța
Manea, who was born in Constanța, is a youth exponent from Viitorul Constanța. He made his Liga I debut during the 2013–14 season.[2]
Chelsea are set to sign the Romanian international after agreeing a fee with his current side Viitorul, Dolce Sport reported on 15 September 2014. Romanian media reports say Manea will cost the Blues around €3 million.[3]
International career
Manea has been capped at under-17 and under-19 level.
On 24 May 2014, Manea was called up by coach Victor Pițurcă to the senior team, after only 5 matches at club level.[4] He made his debut on 31 May 2014, playing the entire match against Albania and becoming the youngest player to appear for the Romania national football team, breaking the previous record set by Grațian Sepi in 1928.[5]
