Anumula Revanth Reddy (born 8 November 1969) is a Politician of the Telugu Desam Party from Telangana [2]and he is Deputy Floor Leader of Telugu Desam Legislative Party.[3]

Early life

Revanth Reddy was born on November 8, 1969 at Kondareddy Pally of Mahboobnagar district. He is a graduate in Arts. He was interested in politics since his school days. He was a leader of student union during his school days.[2] He married central minister Jaipal Reddy brother's daughter. [4]

Political career

Zilla Parishad Territory constituency

In 2006 he was Won ZPTC Election with 51.65% of votes gain for Independent party in Midjil constituency.[5]

Member of Legislative Council

He was elected Member of Legislative Council MLC as an independent candidate. Later he met TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu and joined the Telugu Desam Party.

Member of legislative assembly

In 2009 he was elected to the Andhra Pradesh assembly from Kodangal Constituency [2] with 46.45% Votes.[5] During his first term of office he commenced the construction of Kosigi bus depot and also a polytechnic college. Once again in 2014 general elections he was elected to the Telengana assembly from Kodangal Constituency [2] with a majority of 14,452 Votes.

Firebrand

Revanth Reddy has gained prominence in the opposition party and TDP in Telangana. Emergence and wielding his sharp tongue has gained the popularity as a firebrand of TTDP, which brought him many followers from different places across both Telugu speaking states.[6][7]

Mahanadu

On the occasion of Mahanadu-2014 organised by the Telugu Desam Party, Revanth Reddy donated 2 lakhs for ABN Andhra Jyothi's Andhra Pradesh Capital City construction fund though he belongs Telengana state and on the same occasion he donated 5 Lakhs for workers welfare scheme launched by the Telugu Desam Party.
