Jorabat is a village in Ri-Bhoi district, Meghalaya, India and Kamrup Metropolitan district, Assam, India. With greater parts in Assam.[1]

Geography

It is located very near to the city of Guwahati, Assam in Kamrup Metropolitan district.[2]

Location

National Highway 40 links Jorabat to Jowai via Shillong.[3] National Highway 37 passes through Jorabat and connects parts of upper Assam with Guwahati city.[4] Jorabat is divided into two parts former is in Meghalaya and latter is in Assam <ref>http://www.telegraphindia.com/1120610/jsp/frontpage/story_15591752.jsp#.VLjDz9KUdZ8<ref>.
