The Exceptions

Hi, just a courtesy notice - you PRODded The Exceptions this article, which I deleted. However I have now restored the article as an editor has stated they wish to improve. If you remain unconvinced about notability you may wish to consider an WP:AFD. GiantSnowman 09:12, 10 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Fusion music

Hello Aeternus. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Fusion music, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: G4 only applies when the previous deletion was due to a deletion discussion. Thank you. Jackmcbarn (talk) 00:31, 2 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

There was a deletion discussion. --Λeternus (talk) 08:47, 2 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I didn't notice the discussion you linked to. I just saw that the original deletion reason for that page was G8. It's gone now. Jackmcbarn (talk) 19:03, 2 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Assistance is needed on a Topic

Albania is mistakenly listed as an Axis force instead of an Ally. As a knowledgeable person can you intervene? -- I created a talk topic under https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Allies_of_World_War_II#Editors_Needed_On_Clarifying_the_Albanian_Case -- The facts are clearly there, but I cannot edit it and there need to be more people involved to convince a Editor which does not know the basics of WW2 in the Balkans. --

Editors Needed On Clarifying the Albanian Case[edit] Dear Editors, -- Please let me kindly invite you to investigate and clarify the status of Albania as an Allied force. Since there is an editor below who unilaterally refuse even considering the provided facts and historical sources, then I invite a quorum of other editors (preferable with knowledge on WW2 history and Balkans) to investigate the case. Best Regards LupinoJacky (talk) 14:44, 4 February 2015 (UTC) Albania was an Ally state, the book "Enciclopedia of World War II, Volume 1, Section "Treaties Ending the War", Page 824, ISBN-10: 0816060223, ISBN-13: 978-0816060221" acknowledges that Albania signed the peace treaties in the end of WW2 as an Allied country. Citing page 824: "The first peace treaty concluded between the Allies and a former Axis nation was with Italy. It was signed in Paris on February, 10, 1947, by representatives from Albania, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Czechoslovakia, Ethipia, France, Great Britain, Greece, India, Iraq, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zeeland, Pakistan, Poland, Slovak Republic, South Africa, the Soviet Union, the United States, Yugoslavia, and Italy." Tal Wilkenfeld and Toto

Hello,

You have just reverted my reversion, so let's better discuss the thing and not start a silly edit war.

You point me, quite rightly, to Template:Infobox_musical_artist#associated_acts to support your decision to add Toto to Tal Wilkenfeld's list of associated acts. There we can read, as a criterion for inclussion:

- Other acts with which this act has collaborated on multiple occasions, or on an album, or toured with as a single collaboration act playing together

But we can also read as criterion to avoid:

- One-time collaboration for a single, or on a single song

I can read in the Toto XIV that Tal is indeed credited, but along four other bass players. And the source for those credits singles out David Hungate as the bassist. So it is quite unlikely that Tal's collaboration went further than playing on a single song, or maybe some scattered overdubs. I thing this falls under the criterion for avoidance, rather than the criterion for inclusion, don't you agree?--Gorpik (talk) 13:15, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and thanks for starting a discussion. According to the source, both Hungate and Wilkenfeld (among others) are listed as bassists on the record, so we cannot know precisely how much they have contributed. I say we wait until more detailed sources come out and see to make the correct assumptions. But for now I think Wilkenfeld is, technicaly at least, associated with Toto. --Λeternus (talk) 13:30, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
According to C. J. Vanston, the record producer, on March 25th 2014: "Tal Wilkenfeld killed it today in my studio with Toto... Played on two songs, we had a blast, what a player. Great project." So it looks like she played in just one session for two songs. To me, though the current wording is unclear, the criterion collaborated on an album means collaborating on equal terms, such as Metallica and Lou Reed in the infamous Lulu, or at the very least playing in all songs, such as Tal herself did with Ryan Adams. That's why it is mentioned along with on multiple occasions or toured with as a single collaboration act playing together (and not played a concert together, for instance). Otherwise, the Associated acts list for session players would be endless. This collaboration is worthy for the main article body, but not for the infobox.--Gorpik (talk) 15:12, 10 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I mostly agree with you, so I reverted my edit. --Λeternus (talk) 08:56, 11 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Articles for deletion/Igorrr

Hello Aeternus,

Thanks for your time and investment to make Wikipedia more clear. However, as far as I see, some pages need to be still open as they fill in the Wikipedia's rules and are very regularly visited. I think about the Igorrr page, the artist is noticeable enough to have an article on the site as many people seems to be concerned by his music. CF, the amount of interviews he has done, the large amount of reviews about his music, some of them, in noticeable magazines as "Les Inrockuptibles", "Trax", "Rock Hard" or "Rock A Rolla", the amount of concerts Igorrr has done by the years, some of them, again, in noticeable festivals like "Dour Festival", the International touring he has done these years (All Europe, Canada, Russia, Middle East, Armenia). To take some sources, here are some online articles about his music : https://www.facebook.com/notes/igorrr/online-press/10151220601778049 And some concerts he/they have done : http://www.igorrr.com/#tour We can notice also that Igorrr has worked with important bands as Morbid Angel, Mayhem, Tryo, Estradasphere, and has been programmed on the biggest French radios as "France Musique", "France Culture", "Le Mouv'" to speak only a few words about that. Sources : - "Les Inrockuptibles" : http://archive.wikiwix.com/cache/?url=http://boutique.lesinrocks.com/heavy-metal-hs-p239.htm&title=Les%20Inrocks - "Trax" : https://www.facebook.com/IgorrrBarrroque/photos/a.305585923048.143291.241913148048/10150095331148049/?type=1&permPage=1 - "Dour Festival" : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Rk1K5Mmnbg - Collaboration with Morbid Angel : http://shop.season-of-mist.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=Illud%20Divinum%20Insanus%20%E2%80%93%20The%20Remixes

Not to mention also that Igorrr is going to play with some of the most important Metal band like Slipknot at Forta Rock this year ( source : http://www.fortarock.nl/ ).

I think he became noticeable enough to leave his page open, and people like me needs such informative media about that kind of music. Same for his label Ad Noiseam, the label has done so much important work on this scene that we need its page to be visible and open to read any time.

Thank you again for your time and for understanding.

David.
