Elysium Health

Elysium Health is an anti-aging company founded by biologist Leonard Guarente.
In February 2015 they announced a product called 'BASIS™' they claim reduces ageing.[1] The pill contains a chemical similar to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide used in metabolic reactions.[2] The product is not yet approved by the FDA and as such is directly appealing to consumers via selling the products as dietary supplements.[3]
The company's scientific advisory board includes many distinguished scientific figures:
- Aaron Ciechanover - 2004 Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry
- Daniel Fabricant - Former director for dietary supplements in the Food and Drug Administration and now CEO of the Natural Products Association
- Eric Kandel - 2000 Nobel prize winner in Physiology or Medicine
- Martin Karplus - 2013 Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry
- Tom Sudhof - 2013 Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine
- Jack Szostak - 2009 Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine[4]
