Jun Hong Lu

Jun Hong Lu (born 1959 [1]) is the founder of Guan Yin Citta. He is also the President and Director of 2OR Australia Oriental Radio (2OR). He serves as the President of the Australian Chinese Buddhist Research Centre (ACBRC) and the Vice President of the Australian Council of Chinese Organisations[2].

Publications

Jun Hong Lu was mentioned in the Arab Telegraph May 2014 UK publication - (Issue 104) about bringing Peace to Mankind & Harmony.[3]

Jun Hong Lu was listed on page 451 and 452 of the Yearbook of Who's Who of China 2014[4].

Honours

On May 2, 2015, the Inter-Parliamentary Coalition for Global Ethics, a worldwide peace organization, awarded its inaugural Peace Prize to Prof. Jun Hong Lu, an acclaimed Buddhist master and president of the Australia Oriental Media Buddhist Charity Association.[5]

On March 31, 2014, Master Jun Hong Lu, was awarded Honorary Visiting Professorship by the University of Siena at Meliá Roma Aurelia Antica Hotel in Rome Italy[6][7] while attending the conference in the same city for the International Symposium on Cultural Diplomacy & Religion 2014 as one of the Speakers.[8][9]

On March 24, 2014, Master Jun Hong Lu was awarded Ambassador of Peace Education at the Summit, the U.N. and the Roadmap to a Culture of Peace, by ISAC (International Strategic Alliance Committee) and Inter-Parliamentary Coalition for Global Ethics at United Nations Headquarters in New York, U.S.A..[10]. The award is presented by Emil Constantinescu, the former president of Romania, and Joana, the executive director of International Strategic Alliance Committee.[11]

At the 2013 Annual Conference on Cultural Diplomacy in Berlin, Germany the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy honoured Master Jun Hong Lu with the ICD Award for Exceptional Contribution and Peace Advocacy to the Global Community at the conference[12][13]. Master Lu was also one of the speakers at the conference[14].

On October 1, 2012, Master Jun Hong Lu was honoured with the British Community Honours Award at the House of Lords, United Kingdom.[15] This award is recognised by her majesty the Queen.

The UK-based The Unity of Faiths Foundation honoured Lu with the ‘World Peace Award (Buddhism)’ and the title of the ‘Ambassador for World Peace’ in July 2012.[16]

Interviews & Media appearances

Hong Kong UNB TV Station 《百位高僧访谈录》(interviews with a hundred of Buddhist masters). On April 29, 2015, master Jun Hong Lu was one of the Buddhist masters attended the news conference for the TV program in Hong Kong.
