Binny Bansal is an Indian Software engineer and Internet entrepreneur, known for co-founding India's largest e-commerce platform[according to whom?] Flipkart along with Sachin Bansal in 2007 He serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Flipkart.[1][2] Binny is from Chandigarh and has graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering.[3][4] Before co-founding Flipkart, Binny was previously employed with Amazon for 9 months.[5] Binny currently resides in Bangalore, the IT hub of India, overseeing Flipkart operations.

Binny's father retired as chief manager at a bank.[6]
