Kasumpati is a city and in Shimla district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.

Geography

A small beautiful hill town, it is famous for its apple orchards and the Kelti Palace. Located at an elevation of 1883 meters, the town of Kasumpati is a beautiful retreat engulfed in plush greenery and dense deodars. It is one of the largest apple growing valley in Himchal Pradesh and a significant contributor to the per capita income of the state.

Climate

Kasumpati has a cool and moderate climate. Between December and March, the city gets heavy snow and the temperature can hover around freezing point. During the summer, the climate is warmer with temperatures around thirty degrees Celsius.
