Jessica E. Lessin is an award-winning journalist and Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the technology website, The Information.[1][2] Before starting The Information in December of 2013,[3] Jessica spent 8 years at the Wall Street Journal covering the technology and media industries.[4] [5]
Early life and education
Lesson was born Jessica Vascellaro. She graduated from Harvard university in 2005, Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in history. She lives in San Francisco.
Career
At the WSJ she wrote more than 1000 articles and news stories while covering Apple,[6] Google,[7] Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter and other global technology and telecom companies companies. She was part of the team that was a 2012 finalist for a series on digital privacy.[8] The team won a public service award from the Society of Professional Journalists for that same series. Jessica has appeared on CNB, NPR, CNN and PBS's "The Charlie Rose Show" and is a regular speaker at international conferences.[9] [10] Jessica was listed in 2014 as an Influential Woman in Technology by Business Insider.[11]
