Degrees

I came across this rather by accident; there seems to be rather a mess about his degrees. He claims degrees or affiliations in various places, but they are to non-accredited schools or the institutions deny association. I am not sure how to cover this in the "life" section, since it seems appropriate to mention, but seems really odd to say he claims a degree from an institution which claims it does not issue degrees. It is, of course, in part covered in the Times section, which should probably be integrated, but basic facts about his life seem to be in dispute. Thoughts on how to cover this? --TeaDrinker (talk) 20:36, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Award

I just removed a sentence fragment which said something about the Global Business Executive Award. This does not seem notable as the GBEA is a fee-for-award outfit, with no meaningful content. It costs money to enter, and it costs money for you to get a certificate saying you won. I don't see a reason to include that in the article, other than he put it on his own website. --TeaDrinker (talk) 20:46, 26 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the award once again. I can't see a purpose to adding an award which is merely given to those who pay (nominally the game is you pay to enter the running, describing the award you want). It has not been mentioned in any independent secondary coverage of the individual, and seems only to be mentioned by the subject himself. If it is included, it seems like it would be necessary to describe the award itself to give context, but I doubt verifiable coverage of it could be found either. --TeaDrinker (talk) 21:08, 21 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback

The rollback of 22/11/15 removed non-contentious content along with sections which probably require significant editing if not removal. I suggest the following changes to the article:

  • Reinstate the infobox and image.
  • Correct the introduction which includes an out of date reference to political candidacy and lacks a citation.

Regarding Charalambous’s claim to hold a PhD and removal of those claims from his website, he did subsequently reinstate the claims on the website. I propose the following amendment: Shortly after the revelations, claims that Charalambous was a qualified Barrister-at-Law were removed from his official website, but reinstated later with a statement refuting claims made in the Times article.

Under Political activities I suggest appending the following: In the post election challenge to Nigel Farage's leadership of the party, Charalambous emerged as a Farage loyalist. Andrew Charalambous is currently UKIP’s Housing and Environment Spokesman. --Hi-Peak Internet (talk) 12:58, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
