Blocked for sockpuppetry

Sockpuppet investigation

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Janagewen, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Unblock Request

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Janagewen (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I am a very good person with good qualities! I devoted most of time on improving articles on computer science related, and figured out and corrected so many mistakes made by some a specific so called famous wiki editor! So I think it is the time to unblock me, this very innocent editor, and good person! -- Janagewen 139.210.139.43 (talk) 05:42, 22 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

The prerequisite to even be considered for unblocking is to stop the behavior that got you blocked in the first place. Since you evaded your block just today, an unblock is out of the question: at least 6 months of not evading your block is typically required. Max Semenik (talk) 09:19, 22 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • comment To admins: Please see WP:Sockpuppet investigations/Janagewen - this is not Janagewen's only edit today. He is continuing his long-term serial sockpuppet + abusive editing behavior, which are two of the things that got him permablocked in the first place. Not a good sign of future good behavior.

To Janagewen: At user talk:Dicklyon you wrote:

@Jeh:, he could come back to Wikipedia.org! But I, Aaron Janagewen, was managed blocked by you, how can I come back to Wikipedia.org?

You were not blocked by me. You were blocked by several different admins (I'm not an admin). You were blocked because of your behavior: You broke a number of Wikipedia's rules. After each block expired you soon went right back to breaking the rules. So you got blocked again. The specific reason for each block was described with each of your block notices.

Granted, I was one of the people who reported your behavior (several times) but so did many, many others; in each case, an admin looked at the evidence and concluded that a block was warranted.

After you earned an indefinite block for yourself. you engaged in repeated block evasion by using IPs and multiple accounts to edit, as is well documented here. Each such occurrence is of course breaking the rules again. Here you are today, using an IP to edit in defiance of your block, abusively editing other people's work pages, and also being abusive on my talk page.. breaking the rules yet again. So if you want to be unblocked, you are very definitely going about it the wrong way.

I suggest you read WP:Clean start, which is how Dicklyon did it. You'll have to not break the rules for six months. That means no editing at all for six months, not under any IP or registered name. Jeh (talk) 06:20, 22 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

btw - I assure you that should you ever try to get your account unblocked, these edits of yours will be taken into consideration. Jeh (talk) 01:22, 27 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
