Emil Dimitriev (born 1979 in Probištip, SR Macedonia) is a Macedonian sociologist and politician and the current Prime Minister of the Republic of Macedonia. He took office on January 15, 2016, following the resignation of Nikola Gruevski.

Dimitriev was appointed Deputy Minister of Defense in 2008. In 2011, he was elected to the Macedonian parliament as a member of the ruling VMRO-DPMNE party.[1]
