"So Excited" is a dance-pop/hip-hop song released as the second single from Janet Jackson's ninth studio album, 20 Y.O.. The song features rapper Khia, and will be released on August 28, 2006. [1] The song is a dance track which samples Herbie Hancock's "Rockit". [2] The song premiered on August 19 2006 during Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Radio on Atlanta radio station WVEE-FM. [3]

The music video for the single is to be shot from August 21 2006 to August 22 2006 in Los Angeles. Joseph Kahn will direct the video. [4]
