InFocus Corporation (NasdaqINFS), founded 1986, is a US-based company that develops, manufactures, and distributes a variety of digital projectors for business, education, and consumer use. InFocus is headquartered in Wilsonville, Oregon.

History and innovations

InFocus has brought to market innovative products including a flat panel overhead display, two-pound portable projectors, and the first three-pound projector with HDTV and digital connectivity.

In 2001, InFocus brought its product line into the home entertainment market. With technology that competes with the clarity and intensity of widescreen televisions, InFocus projectors offer images up to five times as large.

Connectivity options include DVI and analog PCs, HDMI, S-Video, component and composite video, allowing nearly any device able to be plugged into it.

As of 2005, InFocus sells digital projection technology and solutions under brand names ASK, InFocus, Proxima, and ScreenPlay. They also acquired the company TUN (The University Network) providing digital media and thin screen television advertising to colleges. Additionally, they are in a joint venture with South Mountain Technologies, a Chinese projector engine manufacturer.

InFOCUS was an Irish boy band between February 2000 and May 2002. During this time, they received the most votes on Irish Eurovision qualifier 'Euro Song', appeared on MTV, supported Westlife and Five on their Irish tour dates (Dublin and Belfast) in 2001 and toured the UK as support to Steps and A1 on their 2000 tours.
