Live Cargo is a 2015 thriller currently in post-production. The film was directed by Logan Sandler, 2015 Recipient of the The Franklin J. Schaffner Fellow Award from AFI[1]. It is Sandler's first feature.[2] Live Cargo's script was co-written by Sandler and Thymaya Payne, a producer, writer, and director whose film about Somali piracy, Stolen Seas won the Boccalino d'Oro at the Locarno Film Festival.[3] Formerly known as "Happy People", the film stars Dree Hemingway, Keith Stanfield, Robert Wisdom, Leonard Earl Howze, and Sam Dillon.[4] Live Cargo was featured alongside five other films in the Champs-Élysées Film Festival's U.S. in Progress Paris section.[5] This year, Live Cargo also participated in IFP's 11th annual Independent Filmmaker Lab.[6]
Plot[4]

Alongside their attempts at re-connection, the two are swept up into a sort of perfect storm — caught in a struggle for the island between long-time de-facto leader Roy, rising criminal force Doughboy, and abandoned vulnerable teen Myron. Will they be able to re-set their lives? At what cause?
