Korba Railway Station is a main railway station in Korba district, Chhattisgarh, serving Korba city. It's code is KRBA. The station has three platforms: Champa, Kobra, and the Gevra Road branch.

History

Korba Railway Station lies on the Champa-Korba-Gevra Road branch of the Tatanagar–Bilaspur section of South East Central Railway Zone. The 50.7 km (32 mi) long, 1,676 mm (5 ft 6 in) broad gauge was constructed between 1953 to 1956, electrified in 1987 and 1988, and extended to Gevra Road railway station in 1988 and 1989. [1][2] New line surveys of Indian Railway were taken during 2012 and 2013, and included a line from Renukoot-Korba via Ambikapur Katghora and Korba-Ranchi. [3]
